Maharaj Shri Dhirendra Sinhji was the second son of Col. HH Maharana Shri Virbhadra Sinhji. After concluding his schooling from Mayo College and Daly College he continued his education further and graduated from Christian College in Indore. He had a keen interest in a varied range of recreational activities such as gardening, wildlife, shooting and dog breeding; and had significantly mastered all of them.
In addition to being an active governing board member in the Daly College for almost 12 years ,he was also an honorary game warden for the Panchmahal district. Furthermore, Maharaj Dhirendra Sinhji was a MLA from Lunavada constituency for two terms. He was liked and respected by everyone in Gandhinagar for his honesty and straightforwardness, he selflessly helped thousands of people get various government jobs.
He was married to Rani Saheba Vijaylakshmi Kumari, she was the eldest daughter of Maharaja Digvijay Sinhji of Sailana.
