Visiting the Elephant Village was an enchanting experience immersed in the majestic world of these beautiful creatures. The opportunity to ride and engage in activities like painting and petting these gentle giants was truly memorable. The elephants, remarkably friendly and cute, added a special charm to the visit. However, it's essential to note that the charges for each activity are relatively high. (Rs.1600/- per person for the ride, Rs.1200/- for painting, etc.)Also, you might have to wait for quite sometime for your turn.

One time life experience: very kids oriented activity. It is quite a bit expensive (2500r per adult, for 2/3 hours with feeding, painting and riding) but it is worth the money.
Guides speak good English and give very informative details, they are open to questions.
They keep only female elephants.
Our elephant, Rangoli, seemed happy to be fed and painted by us, you can understand it by the sound she does and how she uses the trunk.
Booking is preferred.

It was fascinating to see how the elephants and their handlers live.

It is clear to see that while the elephants are a source of income, they are beloved and cared for by their handlers.

It was also interesting to see how the buildings were constructed, with particularly large lintels to provide adequate support for elephant sized openings.

The park seemed quite well designed, but would have been even more fit for purpose with some input from the intended occupants.

This gets 5 stars purely for the experience we had. That’s because we did our research and expected the sneaky guides and chancers and made the best of it. Do NOT let them depict the thousands you spend. We spend 3500 rupees to feed and paint and elephant and just spend an hour stroking and experiencing this magnificent creature up close. At the end of the day your money is to provide for these creatures and we can only trust ours did. Go there with an agenda, decide what you want to spend and DO NOT negotiate more money. They will 100% try and bleed you dry. If all else fails simply leave and book in At Elephantastic which a professional park and it’s 5000 rupees for 3 hours, all activities and even some lunch.

It is situated at the foothill of the Amber Palace (Amer Fort) near Jaipur.
1. Elephant Safari has been one of the most preferred activities among the tourists visiting Jaipur.
2. This place is home to more than 200 elephants and their mahouts (reside along with small quarters and take cake of elephant 24x7).
3. Hathi Gaon has a lot to offer the tourists including several fun activities such as elephant safari, painting feeding and bathing elephants.
4. online tickets are 2500/person which is costly but we directly booked by seeing elephant and owner for 1000/person.
5. Must visit place

You know its true that elephant feels the same when they see us as we feel when we see dogs. They think we humans are cute. This whole experience at this place made me believe in that more. Highlight of our Jaipur trip. Can't wait to remember this and visit again.

Super!!!!!! Wonderful.......
Thanks to the team, who are maintaining 62 elephants with mahout and family. A visit and the tickets are just the earnings for all these elephants.
Elephant rides are very good and people there, are very cooperative. Feeding to elephants by ourselves is a new and happy experience.
My wife's fear of even touching the elephants has gone by visiting this village, because of those mahouts.
Please visit Elephant village, whenever you travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan to your wonderful experience and to help the elephants there🐘🐘🐘🐘.

Wonderful experience if seeing and interacting with elephants in person. My kids have never seen a real elephant and were able to go on an elephant ride and feed the elephants. The staff took photos, so we have a keepsake of today's experience. Highly recommend this experience.

We will never forget our wonderful day here at Elephant Village. They treat all their elephants extremely well. No exploitation at the costs of these beautiful creatures. There are different activities depending on your budget but the prices are fair. They don't rush your time spent with the elephant so it is a real personal thing. Thoroughly enjoyed painting and meeting Gora.
Highly recommended!!

We had a fantastic time with the elephants at Elephant Village. Everyone here is super passionate about the well being and care of these magnificent, noble creatures. For me, it was an absolute privilege to be so close , I especially enjoyed giving an Elephant a hose pipe bath!

Must visit for an amazing experience with the Elephants. Initially they explain everything about this place and the elephants which is very thoughtful and interesting. One of it's kind this place is playing an awesome role taking care and breeding the elephants with a lot of care here. You can try experiences like introduction, photography, rides, feeding, painting and Bahubali. Costs of the activities are between Rs. 650 to Rs. 3000. Kids loved the experience and enjoyed learning about the elephants as well.

We plan to cover all the spot with family on a Jaipur trip.. In my group there were two kids who were afraid of Elephants. So we decided to take a Elephant ride. It just cost 1K for three members.

There was a special pool for elephants for relaxation. Do visit if you are with kids.

The relationship between elephants and humans is the most different among wildlife, from the centuries until today, this magnificent animal has shown a beautiful relationship with humans. Humans have never been in harmony with any other animal.

There was a time when a magnificent creature like an elephant was once the favorite ride of the kings and even in the time of war, the king preferred to sit on the elephant and fight. Rajasthan has never been a natural habitat for elephants, but elephants have been the most preferred ride for all the Raja-Maharajas of Rajasthan.

Even today, tourists enjoy elephant rides in Amber Fort. A few years ago, objections were lodged by common people and some social organizations on the elephant ride to be held in Amer. These people said that an elephant is tortured very badly for riding an elephant, which is very wrong.

The local administration and the Government of Rajasthan made a very good and new beginning in 2010, keeping in mind the common people and social institutions, in which the government established a new village for elephants and its associated families and was named Elephant Village.

This was a amazing place to visit and look all the elephant at a one place. We had good time with elephant ride but expensive, that's ok and we enjoyed more what we paid, we feed the elephant also. There are separate package for riding and feeding the elephant. We can also do painting and bathing them but has separate charges for everything.

Hathi Gaon, which translates to "Elephant Village," is known for its association with elephants and their caretakers, known as mahouts. The village is home to a community of mahouts who have traditionally worked with elephants for various purposes, including tourism, festivals, and ceremonies.

The village offers visitors an opportunity to interact with elephants and learn about their role in Rajasthan's cultural heritage. Tourists can engage in activities like elephant rides, feeding, and bathing elephants in a nearby river. The village also showcases the lifestyle and traditions of the mahout community.

While Hathi Gaon may not have a long historical significance like some of the ancient forts and palaces in Rajasthan, it provides a unique and immersive experience for visitors interested in exploring the close bond between elephants and the local community.
