It was a fabulous holiday in Ooty, especially our stay at the Savoy. A lovely quintessential English Raj style hotel. Such hotels are hard to come by. Every detail was minutely looked into. The decor was exquisitely tuned to the era which the hotel chose to represent.
The service was par excellence. Personalized, warm and and thoroughly professional.
The food was personalized whenever required.
Most importantly the music which played in the background, even as we relaxed on the lawns with a bonfire crackling away was subdued at just the right volume...not the loud, wild music one is usually forced to bear up with.
A hotel I would visit again, and I strongly recommend it to those who appreciate the softness and the class of an era which is slowly fading into history.

Had a wonderful stay. Lots of activities for kids. Very friendly staff.

Rooms are done up very beautifully with perfectly maintained lawns.

Fnb manager Om Prakash is extremely good and ensures you are totally taken care of . Momoi served us promptly and with a smiling face at all times . Shiv Prasad from housekeeping n room service was very really good .

The lawns are beautifully maintained , the music playing in the background gives a very lively feel to the property . Bonfire in the main lawn is really nice to sit around n relax .Cottages are very well done up .

We booked this place in the last minute, yet received the warmest most prepared welcome. This place gives you a relaxing vibe immediately upon arrival. The rooms have a fireplace that can be enabled upon a simple phone call. The exec chef greets you every time you dine. The variety at the Breakfast Buffet is undeniable.

Beautiful property and cozy cottages that make for a perfect holiday. The place is well maintained with pleasing gardens and sit-outs. It’s great for kids to play around as it is a secure environment inside. The restaurant serves wonderful food. The buffets have a good variety and are totally appetizing. Fantastic service. It definitely is a wonderful stay and I would love going back to the place.

A place which is Ooty in itself. A lush green garden with beautiful flowers along with just the right old-timey ambience, this is a perfect place for anybody who loves themselves a good vintage experience. The rooms are spacious and the service is exceptional with helpful and accommodating staff. The food is top notch as is expected. The rooms also have a private fireplace which can be lit on request and which makes the night all the more cozy and warm. A must visit destination even if one doesn't plan on staying but if they have a change of heart the stay is worth every dime.

It was a super comfortable stay at Savoy. It has a perfect location in the city. The food was amazing. Above all, the hospitality of the staff was commendable. Special thanks to Mr. Mohammad Kasim, he was kind enough to cater to our every need to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I've travelled a bit... even around England and the US... Dubai and around India and this is by far the most beautiful hotel property I've ever seen and stayed at... the staff is very helpful and friendly and everything is good.. the idlis at breakfast were the best I've ever had... we also felt completely safe...but I'll say it again... it is a gorgeous property!! So beautiful!
Having said that it is also very, very expensive. Food ( other than idlis)can be better.

I would say one of the best 5 star property in Ooty. Its actually a school built by britishers in 1829 , which has been aesthically modified as TAJ hotel. Staffs are just brilliant. They go out of their way to make our stay comfortable and makes us feel comfortable in all the aspects. Food is just too delicious. Mostly pan asian cuisine is available with some mouth watering food. Spa was average. Not great compared to other 5 star property. To the amount they charge the service they provided was not commendable. Property is located in lush green which is a treat for eyes. From evening 7 they put bonfire. Morning 10-11 you can feed the rabbits and fish. They do have early morning yoga sessions as well.

This place was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and polite right from the security guard at the gate. Others should learn hospitality from them if they can.
I have never felt so at home in any resort or hotel before. Definitely recommended to all those who visit Ooty.
Their breakfast spread is mouthwatering.
Every item I ordered for lunch/tea/dinner was delicious and freshly prepared with more than enough portions for 2 people.
Special mention to Bharati Anna who runs the campfire every day with interesting games for the guests. His positivity and warmth kind of rubs off on others.
Another special mention the in house masseuse Miss Pragati, who is not only amazing at what she does but is also delightfully polite and charming.
Definitely going back again if I visit Ooty.

A very beautiful premium luxury 5 star resort in Ooty. Food is amazing, rooms are awesome. It gives you the feeling of Colonial British architecture. Staff are nice and friendly. Hospitality is great. The ambience of the house place is marvellous. It has also been the shooting location of many Bollywood movies. Amazing place to stay or host functions like weddings.

Taj Hotel services is at its best at Savoy Ooty! Everything is just perfect 👌starting from the location, the rooms, the entire support & services starting from the front desk, the F&B, the cleaning and all others involved with various other activities at the hotel. I would like to make a special mention of the amazing hospitality offered by Mr. Om Prakash who has been working here as the F&B incharge for the last 26+ years. I have never experienced a better hospitality across my various travels. I thank him and everyone at Taj Savoy Ooty!

Excellent location. Lovely ambience and decor. Warm & hospitable staff. Ample parking facilities. Service is a tad slow. For the two consecutive days that we had lunch, the time taken to serve the food from the time we placed the order was in excess 40-45 minutes. Food quantity and quality however was very nice.

Right from the entrance to the meals, bonfire games, kids’ activities as well as the special ways in which the hotel staff goes the extra mile for a memorable stay, the Taj Stamp is all over !
Location wise - in the city so the view is not of the mountains but the well maintained lawns and the heritage cottages which are 100 & 200 years old make up for it !

Most sought off location at Ooty. Name tells it all. Special thanks to Mr. Titus and Mr. Omprakash for giving that extra homely touch with their extraordinary services. The whole team at Savoy requires the desired appreciation and recognition. Hats off to them.
