Singda Dam

Beautiful place, a must visit if you are in Manipur. Feels like you're in a different country altogether especially if you visit in winter. The climb can be a bit steep but definitely worth the experience in my opinion.

Singda Dam is the highest mud dam in the World and a sight to behold. Overlooking serene Singda Lake, this dam acts as a multi-purpose irrigation project for entire Manipur. The dam is surrounded by lush green paddy fields and hills and is considered as one of the ideal tourist spots in Manipur for picnics, day trips, trekking, and hiking.

Beautiful green dam ...nature at one of its best moments ... da roads to singda from imphal has gotten better in da past yrs ...for ppl who dont hv dere own vehicle ..u can take a share auto from imphal main bazaar which goes straight to singda ... from there just enjoy da 15..20 mins climb uphill by foot n u r there 😊

A beautiful place to visit if you are in manipur. The dam is sorrounded by all the beautiful mountains and hills. Really enjoyed being there.

Lovely place, visited multiple times. Parking is available and a few small shops around. It's not properly maintained, need to place some dustbin and needs cleaning. The climb up to the dam feels lengthy in the sun. The road leading to this place is beautiful though. Nice picnic spot and can play in the water. Can be a great place is developed properly.

IF u ever come to Imphal I would recommend you should see this dam.itz very beautiful and gorgeous moreover a lot of local music videos and movies are shot here.If you are a photographer and love to take photos you should come here cause the scenery is mesmerizing you feel happy to see it.and while taking photos if you get tired you can have a picnic at the spot yeah ull have to bring your own food cause very likely there are no restaurant. But small tea stall and if you are persuasive and good at talking you can convince the locals for a boat ride. Five stars from my side for this beautiful dam.

At an altitude of 921 metres, Singda is a beautiful picnic spot 16 Kms away from Imphal. The landscape is inviting. There is an Inspection Bungalow to convenience visitors. Greeted by a breeze-ruffled artificial lake,every visitor is tempted to revisit with packed lunch.
