The road to this place is very curvy, like in ghats with awesome eyecatchy landscapes. Here we can see many monkeys, please don't carry any type of fruits. One of the must visit place. Beautiful place located on the highest places of Honnavara. It is near to Are-angadi, a small suburb place. Road to this place is very curvy, like in ghats with awesome eyecatchy landscapes. Huge biodiverse animals, plants, insects located in this area. Temple is very simple, the temple related place is huge with a huge dining hall, a huge place above it where programmes undergo. A small pond at the entrance, we saw a snake in it, people call it OLLE snake, which is nonvenomous. Godess Karikaana Parameshwari, comes in references with many local stories, and believes. Another place few steps from it is ONDADIKE. Another tiny temple like structure in which HULIYAPPA God is there, right in front of Parameshwari Garbha gudi. Many monkeys were there, actually it's like monkey menace. A wonderful place to sit, contemplate, meditate, relax. Most beautiful landscape of dense forest can be seen towards east from this place.

Sri Karikaan Parameshwari is the godess durga temple located in hill Station. This temple has a special idol of lord durga formed naturally by hill part. It is belived that, once upon a time, the place where this idol is located was tried to dig by axe. People observed blood is coming out from that hill stone. This was discussed with shreedhar swamiji. He suggested that is not a stone, it is godess karikaan parameshwari. This place is attraction point for nature lovers. People can grasp the bird eye view of honnavar-kumta costal belt from this place.

Temple is most beautiful and the god is Devi karikanamma. Most powerful temple of the town. Treat to eyes, as it's amidst the hills. Roads to travell is very good. Even trecking is possible. Nice place for making Pooja's in a shuddha way. Every afternoon lunch is provided , but one has to inform. There is traditions followed here. The temple where u can feel the peace. One must visit. You can feel the nature's call here.

A beautiful and calm temple on a hilltop near Honnavar. The place is cold and peaceful. Best for friends / family visits. Beware of monkeys n take care of your belongings. Best time to visit is early morning or post 5pm. As you can experience a much colder n foggy climate.

This temple is located on one of the highest peaks in the Honnavar Taluk. This is about 15 Kms from the main town and is towards Ramtirth Areangadi road.

It's offers a very good view of the jungle, flora and fauna around the region. Good to go in the mornings or the evenings.
Beautiful temple set in the hills, over looking a dreamy forest. The Brahmin priest gave us Darshan, and told us how this aspect of Parvati appeared spontaneously in the rocks, and 60 years ago a Shakti Yoga practicing Yogi built the temple around the manifestation. Wonderful experience, but please be respectful, you are visiting the house of a Goddess, whether you believe it or not. Keep clean.

In the midst of the dense forest Goddess dwells in the form of the rock. Here Sri Shivanada Swamji of Sigehalli had tapas here and Sri Sridhar Swamiji constructed the temple as commanded by Goddess karikaan Parameshwari. There is one more Lord Shiva temple which is mile away from this temple, morning 8AM to 12PM will be the good time to visit this place with your friends and family.

The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking. We were able to spot, River sharavati at one side River agnashini at the other side and also Arabian sea.
The climate at the top of the hill was cool even during the May.
