Patora Dam

Patora dam is next to my native place. We have seen the changes & development happening in & around this place. People often visit here for picnics, udyan (garden), beautiful scenery, the woods, swimming in canals & definitely for temple visit (lord shiva, lord Ram, lord Hanuman, lord jagannath & many more). if you need peaceful time with nature then must visit place !!!

A nice natural place to the people who like to visit natural place. It is just 15 km away from nuapada town. It comes near the village lodra. The dam is surrounded by hill from all the sides. A temple of lord shiva is also situated their. The dam is filled with water through out the year. A garden is also their called Rajeev Udyan. People from chattisgarh,Odisha as well as maharastra also come here from picnic and excursion. The dam is called as Jonk Dam.

This is a famous place in Nuapada district. The dam is 7 km far from the main town of Nuapada district.Here we see a beautiful Shiv temple. This temple is situated one side of the patora dam. There is a park for children.
