Hotel Sumitra

This small restaurant is always crowded by local people in Mhapan. This is my favorite and we usually visit once a month for a quick snack.

Small restaurant and small seating yet they maintain it throughout the day. To top this the service is good too. Make sure to visit this in the morning or evening or garam vada pav and kanda bhaji

Things we ate - Kanda Bhaji and Usal Pav

Kanda Bhaji quantity is less but the bhaji is super yummy. They serve it with a coconut chutney and it's my favorite. Usal Pav is the authentic Malvani Coconut semi liquid gravy. This is served with onions, lemon and yellow side potato sabzi.

This is also an affordable option for lunch and is quite famous on this route. This belongs to the man whose son works for Zee Marathi and does Cock Dance. I wish to try seafood super soon let's see if we plan will update the review and pictures.

Recently happened to visit Kankavali and Malavan. This hotel is near Nivati. One of the best food I ever had. Unfortunately one of my friend had Veg Thali because he follows Friday but he is a hardcore Non Vegetarian guy, he fall in love with the Veg Thali. Non Veg Fish Thali was awesome. It’s not a fancy one but kind of home good hygiene food.

Nice food, kind service great taste. Special for Sea food dishes. Fresh and crispy.

This is THE place for seafood thali and fish in general. Quick service and the quality of fish is just superior. Simple malwani gharguti food. Always a stop on my way to the Chipi airport

Came to visit khavne ? Then you should really have lunch at this small but awesome restaurant, serving different types of fish thalis including bangda, surmai, sawndhale, shimple, kolambi n much more . Please do give it a try ..I’m sure you will love

The best hotel for sea food. And their fried prawns are just amazing.
A must visit hotel if you ever travel to Mhapan or near by areas.

I have visited many hotels & restaurants in Kokan region since more than 40 years.

We lunched & dined in Hotel Sumitra for consecutive 5 days. Both veg & non-veg.

Fresh food.
Quality & quantity are excellent.
Unbelievably affordable rates.
Hospitality like home.

Overall, one of the best in the trade.

Great hotel......good food............. available all types of food fish like surmai paplet samaki saranga soundala bangada etc...........its also serve ckicken meat.........its a very good hotel................its aldo serves the veg food the taste is aslo good...........they have parking system for the customer.............they also serves the break fast like vada paav usal paav misal paav bhaji..........the bhajis of this place are famous and so tasty...they also took the order of parties......

Incredible taste. Saundala Thali is a must try.

One of best fish is served here .Thali system was best which includes unlimited rice and curry....just delicious.
