Dajipur Wild Safari, Radhanagari

Jungle safari of 3 hrs, 11 kms to and 11 kms fro, total 22 kms, 1800 rs per Jeep, 1 Jeep can accommodate 1 to 5 persons, service timing from 6 am to 2.30 pm

Dajipur is situated on the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts. Rugged mountains and dense forests surround this hilly area. This quiet little place is completely cut-off from human blare. Dajipur is home to bison, wild deer, chital, gawa and many more spectacular wild animals and birds.

Situating at 1200 metres above the sea level, it is an exciting and beautiful holiday getaway. An excursion in the vicinity to the Gagangiri Maharaj's Math makes a pleasant outing for the tourists. This scenic resort near the backwaters of the Radhanagari Dam is highly recommended for wildlife lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Nearest airport is at Belgaum, nearest railhead is at Kolhapur. It is 490 km away from Mumabi, while 80 km from Kolhapur. But it is only 30 km from Radhanagari.

Words are not enough to describe this place this is the one of the best sanctuary I visited till now and the forest officers are very friendly and supportive to the visitors, there is an accommodation and decent food facility very near to the forest for a stay with reasonable prices, and don't miss the safari (its a chargeble) ride will starts in the early hours the first safari vehicle people will get the adventures and memorable views of wild animals in the sanctuary, around 2 hours of journey un forest for both up and down, definately you will get an off rode experience in this drive with best and well qualified safari driver bro's. At the top of the safari you will get the best scenic views of hills,flat lands and lakes. Don't miss a chance if you get to visit.

Best place ever seen in sindhudurg for jungle safari. It is a Jem in dajipur must visit to this place. Just feel like home and have a nostalgic fell for food and stay. We can see a beautiful wildlife ever seen in Maharashtra.

This place will drive you crazy. Dajipur wildlife sanctuary is a reserved forest area specifically for Indian Bison and other wild habitats. Special attractions are Butterflies, Shekaru, lizards and Langoor monkeys. This is dense forest and have a class of world heritage sites. Road through out the forest is thrilling and adventurous. Sightseeing is available through Govt. Of Maharashtra forest dept. Must visit place. Best time to visit is Oct to March.
