I got a great service and experience from this hospital . It is a general hospital run by the government of Kerala by free of cost . It has 24*7 fever OP and casuality is available
Other than that there are specialised departments of OP from 9:00 am to 1:00pm like orthopaedic , paediatric, pulmonology etc.

Opinion may vary from person to person. I personally had a great attention and care from here and also found the doctors and staff very good and caring on all occasions whenever I had visited this hospital. This is the only one government general hospital in Alappuzha town and hence is always a busy hospital. Facilities are to be improved which will be hopefully done after the completion of new blocks.

Very well trained good hearted medical staff, yesterday night visited hospital for food allergy issue at late night. Nurse's and night duty staff have responded immediately and given 3 injections. Not even private hospital did nothing. Thanks for the entire General Hospital Alappuzha for the very best and immediate treatment.

But not well maintained

Very good hospital. I visited alleppy during October 2016. In third day of tour I slipped from hotel stair and got injury in my leg. driver immediately rush to this hospital. Doctor treat me without delaying. Nurse and Doctor were well behaved. I still remember thier service.

People from north and east india should learn from them.

Best hospital for any emergency or normal needs. Right in the heart of the town, good doctors and staffs. If you're away from vandanam medical college.. then this should be the choice.

But lacks in facilities.
Almost all emergencies and trauma cases are reffered to TDMC Vandanam due to poor facilities and lack of trauma care

It had been the Alappuzha Medical Collage, once known as 'kottram asupatri' - palace hospital - for long past years until the Medical College was shifted to Vandanam, the newly built Medical College building. There after it was renamed as General Hospital.

Excellent doctors , para medical staffs, Good treatment, better house keeping,clean and hygienic atmosphere.

GH is very under rated for its facilities and services...it provides a good service for the common people's.u can visit here anytime for any health related issues .

The present general hospital of alappuzha, once the alappuzha medical college, the medical college hospital was transferred to vandanam . The hospital Staff are dedicated. It is currently the biggest and best hospital in alappuzha town area
