Very nice and clean station . It's small but beautiful. One thing you have to keep in our mind that you have to keep all your needs with you as there is no shop near around . You can't get anything not even water bottle. Transportation is also a big issue from station to city .

The station is out from the City....
But, glad to see that ...full green green natural views are ....

Plz kindly arrange some cold drinking water facility here otherwise.,,
Mostly nice place and good station..

The little one is awake. The train comes here only 4 times. The atmosphere is cool and calm during the evening. The employees who live here. He takes care of all the facilities for the citizens. We could not find any place to sleep in the night, so we told the policemen here, they helped us a lot. I liked this place very much.

One of the beautiful Railway Station of Odisha.. maintain in a very good manners...no any vendors nearby the station.

Bhawanipatna railway station not far from different locations of Bhawanipatna you can take auto rickshaw or bike to reach the place , there is no shop there and the station is not big as much you think but good for the people nearby who travel to Bhubaneswar
But train timings is very accurate so you have to reach the station before the train arrived the station

Bhawanipatna Railway station is a small and beautiful Railway station in Odisha. Which far from Bhubaneswar approximately 382 Kms. Presently 3 Passenger trains comes to the station from different location in daily basis.

Even though there is a single platform but still it helps mostly people of Bhawanipatna and Junagarh to travel long distance like Bhubaneswar and Andhra Pradesh.

Bhawanipatna is a city, and district headquarters of the Kalahandi district, in the Indian state of Odisha. Bhawanipatna is a city of numerous temples dedicated to different deities of Hindu pantheon. It is named after the presiding deity, Bhawani-Shankar and Patna which means place in Odia like "Padaa". Bhawanipatna municipality is the administrative head of the city, which is divided into twenty wards with different sub-areas called pada (pronounced "padaa"). Originally, these padaas were inhabited by people of different communities, but over the last few decades, these padaas have become homogeneous. Bhawanipatna has more than forty padaas.

Bhawanipatna is located at 19.9°N 83.17°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 248 m (814 ft). Bhawanipatna is located in the center of large mountains and plateaus. It has eastern ghat mountains in its eastern frontier.

Bhawanipatna has a tropical wet and dry climate, temperatures remain moderate throughout the year, except from March to June, which can be extremely hot. The temperature in April–May sometimes rises above 48 °C (118 °F). These summer months also have dry and hot winds. In summers, the temperature can also go up to 50 °C (122 °F). The city receives about 1,300 millimetres (51 in) of rain, mostly in the monsoon season from late June to early October. Winters last from November to January and are mild, although lows can fall to 5 °C (41 °F).
As of 2011 India census,[4] Bhawanipatna had a population of 69,045 and total including sub-urban of 83,756. The population of Children ranging from ages 0-6 is 7,407, which is 10.73% of total population of Bhawanipatna (M). In Bhawanipatna Municipality, the Female Sex Ratio is 945 against the state average of 979. Moreover, the Child Sex Ratio in Bhawanipatna is around 911 compared to Orissa state average of 941. The literacy rate of Bhawanipatna city is 85.00% higher than state average of 72.87%. In Bhawanipatna, Male literacy is around 90.95% while the female literacy rate is 78.72%, according to the 2011 census. Out of the total population, 23,705 were engaged in work or business activity. Of this 18,666 were males while 5,039 were females. In the census survey, a worker is defined as a person who engages in business, a job, service, cultivation, or other labour activities. Of a total working population of 23,705, 84.55% were engaged in Main Work while 15.45% of total workers were engaged in Marginal Work.

The language spoken by the people of Kalahandi is the Kalahandia dialect of Oriya, locally known as Kalahandi. Local weekly newspapers such as Arjji and Kalahandi Express publish articles in standard Odia and Kalahandi language. Other languages include Kui, Bhatri (another dialect of Odia), Parji, Bhunjia, spoken by approximately 7000 Bhunjia Adivasis.

Fantastic.... But i faced a problem.. when returning from bhubaneswar. I got off from train in order to purchase a tooth paste. I noticed not a single vendor or shop neither inside the platform nor outside the platform. It was 8.30 am. Overally other things are better.
