GReaT trails Wayanad by GRT Hotels

Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by great hospitality by the staff, especially by Mr. Vishnu, who made an extra effort to make our anniversary special by arranging a surprise candle light dinner and a complimentary anniversary cake. It's also worth mentioning that the rooms were very neat and spacious.

Went there during mid of June. Got the rooms at a great deal. The view from the resort is picturesque. They have cycles to roam around the resort. Also, a dedicated kid play area for children. Hi tea is arranged every day in the evening, where you get pakodas as well.

Rooms are huge, and bathrooms are of equal size to that of the rooms. They provide complimentary banana chips, which is great.

I felt spread of the menu could have been better. It’s not comparable to those of high end hotels. Very limited continental options.

The have infinity swimming pool and view from the pool is breathtaking. Also, their spa services are top notch.

I recently stayed with my family for one night at Great Trails Wayanad by GRT Hotels, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The property has a premium feel, with high-quality facilities and supplies provided throughout our stay. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary high tea and were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a villa with a balcony, which made the stay even more special.

The staff, particularly the receptionist, was very courteous and helpful, making our check-in smooth and pleasant. The room itself was beautifully designed and comfortable, though we did encounter a small issue where water from the hot tub leaked into the room. Fortunately, this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise great stay.

The pool had a stunning view, but its depth of only 4 feet was a bit disappointing for those hoping for a deeper swim. Breakfast was another highlight, with a variety of options. Due to low occupancy, the food was served à la carte, and while the quality was good, the service was slower than expected.

One of the added perks was a complimentary foot massage, which was a nice touch. However, the massage staff seemed uncomfortable with the fact that we were coming in for a complimentary service, which detracted slightly from the relaxation experience.

All in all, our stay at Great Trails Wayanad was very enjoyable, with excellent service, amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere. The minor issues we encountered didn't overshadow the overall experience, and I would definitely consider visiting again. It is highly recommendable for anyone looking for a premium getaway in Wayanad. With a few small improvements, it could be even better next time!

A Memorable Stay Defined by Warm Hospitality and Nature’s Tranquility

My wife and I had planned a trip to Wayanad from August 10-12, shortly after the region experienced a devastating landslide. Naturally, we were concerned about safety, but after contacting GRT Wayanad, they assured us that the property was unaffected and safe to travel to from Kozhikode. The hotel kept us updated on all recent developments during our journey, providing us with peace of mind.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sachin, Eldhose, and Karthikeyan. The staff greeted us with thoughtful trinkets, making us feel immediately special. As we were the only guests staying at the property for those days, the experience felt exclusive and intimate. The team generously upgraded us to the best room on the property, which had a stunning view of the natural surroundings. The room itself was lavish—spacious, beautifully designed, and featuring one of the finest bathrooms (that bathtub!) we’ve seen, complete with a breathtaking view.

Although the local sightseeing spots were closed due to government restrictions, GRT Wayanad ensured our stay was nothing short of relaxing and memorable. Despite the limited menu options caused by the landslide, the hotel staff went out of their way to recommend local delicacies and even surprised us with additional dishes to make our meals special. Their hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. A special thanks to Shanku, Brijesh, Vishnu, Suraj, Jidil, and the entire restaurant team for their attention to detail.

While the breakfast was wonderful—served à la carte but feeling like a personalized buffet—the true highlight was the exceptional hospitality. Every meal came with extra touches, from fresh fruits to delightful local dishes. After breakfast, we took advantage of the hotel’s facilities, relaxing by the pool with its serene valley view. We also visited the spa, where we had a complimentary foot massage, followed by a relaxing couples’ massage. Special recognition goes to MPI and Biaki, who were absolutely amazing and made the spa experience unforgettable.

Even the complementary evening tea and snacks was simply delightful!

The thoughtful gestures from the staff, from personalized service to checking on our comfort regularly, made this one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. Despite the circumstances surrounding our trip, GRT Wayanad turned it into a serene and memorable getaway.

We left with not just beautiful memories of our stay but with the warmth and hospitality of Kerala truly etched in our hearts.

We had 1 nights stay in great trails hotel. The property is well maintained & clean & beautiful to stay. Our rooms are bigger in size. the most attractive thing is the bathroom, it’s a size of a bedroom with a tub.
Room service was perfect & we received a complimentary fruit basket with nuts. We had a buffet breakfast & free foot massage.

The sad thing is, the morning we waked up with landside news in wayanad. The hotels reception helped in knowing the latest update about roads to travel.

We spent our honeymoon here. It's a great place with view. Rooms had superb view. Bathroom was very spacious. Restaurant had a great view. Staffs were very responsible. Money well spent

Amazing stay. Visited this place on 19th july 24, from security person to all other staff, all are professional and helpful.
Rooms are huge and bathroom is v.huge . You can celebrate the bathing ritual in this place. Complimentary foot spa and eateries are a plus. Pool is clean.

We visited when there was a red alert for rain in wayanad. We stayed in the resort completely and enjoyed every activities.
Only thing we missed was zipline since it ways raining ,there was no zipline in resort. Apart from that everything was amazing.

Absolutely gorgeous views accompanied by a massive room and bathroom. A decent sized infinity pool, well equipped gym and one of the best food I have ever eaten. The in hotel dining experience is a must.

Choosing this resort based on online reviews turned out to be the perfect decision. Not only did it meet our expectations, it exceeded them in every way! Traveling with a 5-month-old can be stressful, but the resort staff, especially Shanku, ensured we felt completely at ease. Their willingness to accommodate our special baby food requests was a lifesaver. We spent our entire 3-night stay pampered within the resort itself. The complimentary 15-minute foot spa was a nice touch, but the true stars were the exceptional restaurants and staff.

Executive Chef Neewie deserves a standing ovation! He went above and beyond by creating a customized menu just for us. His kindness and culinary expertise made our stay unforgettable. A big shout-out to Chefs Arun and Israfet as well, for their attentiveness and delicious dishes beyond the already impressive buffet spread. It's no wonder food and service are the highlights of this resort!

The pool, while offering a stunning view from below the restaurant, is a bit on the small side. Similarly, the gym is basic with just dumbbells and treadmills. However, the spacious rooms with beautiful balconies and huge bathrooms more than made up for it. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and incredibly grateful for the exceptional hospitality.

Recently I visited this resort and I loved that place. It is a green environment. Every single staff was so cooperative especially front office staff afreed and vipin always greeted with a warm smile. Stayed at the property (family visit) during 20-23 April, 2024. The hotel is fabulous. Amazing huge room - Estate Villa with Verandah. Good food and wonderful service. The folks in the restaurant are always there to help with a smile. The greeting with a Namaskar is very warm and heartfelt.

Room service is prompt. Food in the restaurant is very tasty with a good spread for breakfast. Special mention for Chef Israfil who was always prepared to suggest & cook a small portion of food that he loves and feed us. Ample space for parking. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Can be improved - the folks at the reception can inform about the wifi setting right at the time of checking in without customer asking for it.

Visited the property with my husband and 7 months old baby. The property is amazing with mesmerizing lush green surrounded nearby the rooms hotel and everywhere. There are many activities for kids and adults . They arrange campfire cultural dance nature walks etc which really adds up to the memorable experience. The hospitality of all the staff members is worth talking about, they keep checking with you often about your experience and if everything is going well during your stay. All the staff members are very kind and greet the customers very well. There was a foot massage provided by the resort as complimentary however the person didn't seem to be interested since it was just complimentary service, didn't even have an ok experience with the foot massage, apart from it i recommend visiting this resort for your quick vacation from Bangalore.

Great hospitality coupled with the most amazing views of Wayanad!

My family were hosted by the wonderful team at Great Trails for two nights and we were so overwhelmed by the wonderful experience and superb hospitality.

Loved the spacious and aesthetic rooms with stunning views deep among the hills and the lovely infinity pool. The spread of food was so thoughtfully curated for us with great taste and quality - Chef Newwin you are a culinary genius!

They had so many unique activities for the children from Zipline to feeding fish to safari, a pet park, a fun magic show, trampolines and cotton candy for the children - we just didn’t realise the time fly by and the children didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay. Enjoyed some evening tea at the chaaya kada and went on evening walks with my family around the massive green and calm property.

The Spa was fabulous and one of the best massages I have had recently and also special thanks for setting up the surprise anniversary dinner Anu Shinoj, General Manager. Your hospitality was the best we have experienced so far!!

The highlight of the property is its courteous Staff. The food was good. The rooms are well-maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the experience was really god. The staffs were also very friendly and approachable. The activities and ambience inside the property was also safe and good.

Great resort, the ambience of resort is nature friendly. And the service provided by the staffs were excellent. They treats customers friendly and that makes me happy.

Great location, Good cozy resort, Excellent service by Subhash sir and his team, staff is also very kid friendly, large rooms with extra large bathroom and an XL tub. Do visit Banasura Dam and speed boat is a must (fine with small kids as well).

We had a superb stay here in India's one of the best 5 star resorts. What a great hospitality we had here from the resort staff. Property was very clean, stylish with excellent service while we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.

The rooms ,halls, food, pool, sports area, the greenery , the staff, the manager, guards -everything was so terrific and fantastic. I have no words to explain. We enjoyed a lot and stay was super comfortable. Infinity pool was just WOW with such an amazing view
