Absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of Dal Lake in Mcleodganj! The picturesque surroundings and the tranquil waters create a stunning landscape that's straight out of a postcard.

During our visit, the light rain added a magical touch, enhancing the beauty of the lake and the mountains that frame it. However, it was disheartening to see lots of trash floating on the sides of the lake, which could use some attention.

Nevertheless, the lake offers a peaceful retreat, perfect for a leisurely walk around its shores. Despite the trash issue, one can still find moments of serenity and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Dal Lake.

Overall, it's a beautiful spot to unwind and soak in the breathtaking views, making it a must-visit destination in Mcleodganj.

Dal Lake is a small lake 1,775 meters above sea level situated on Macleodganj - Naddi Road in Himachal Pradesh. It will is very close to MacLeodganj bazaar. Nestling amidst lush green forests of deodar trees, it is famous for its scenic beauty and pilgrimage center. The area around Dal Lake is a natural paradise.

This is one of the most commonly visited places in Dharmashala, nothing much to see but It's a beautiful small lake and not so far from mcleodganj. Tcv children village is near to this place you can also visit that too. Auto will take 100 rupi and taxi will take 200 for one way from the MCLOD so don't pay more and don’t fall into the trap.

Chilling spot surrounded by cedrus forest. Lake itself is made artificially by damming the stream on the flat terrace are. The banks are turned into the park zone with walking paths, number of benches, trash bins and places for picnic. Fast food facilities are also available, but not operating throughout whole year. Lack of maintenance from municipal services leads to intensive trashing of the place.

I was lucky to visit durin raining season, it was very beautiful and peaceful. Visited again in December, not so pretty, also taxis stop runing around 6:30 pm.

Beautiful small lake near McLeod Ganj situated in the lap of dense forest just before Naddi sunset point. Boating can be done. Entry is free.

Beautiful place on high hill, best place for picnic and relaxing, around the lake woods of oak trees, lots of local cafe, tea centre. Spend your time in free time with family and friends, one of the best and world famous tourist spot, cars and bikes parking facility available here. You can spend entire day here.

Such a cool place to visit after snow fall , visited after season first snow fall before 2020 ends. Loved it . Roads are quite narrow and steep, make sure to catch up experienced driver to take you around.

Quaint and clam, Dal lake is filled with greenish water. The lake is shielded by the rugged mountains and luscious forest of deodar trees. On the bank of the Dal lake, tourists can see the famous Shiva temple.
Dal lake is mostly visited by tourist during the month of September as a fair is organized on the bank of the lake which is attended by the people of the Gaddi tribe in a large number. The fair is celebrated to mark the presence of Lord Shiva. Dal lake is a perfect site to laze around with picnic baskets as one can enjoy boating and many other activities.
Flanked by lush greenery and blooming trees, the placid Dal Lake is counted amongst the major tourist attractions of McLeod Ganj.

This lake is beautiful in its own way , it have red fishes and himalyan trouts . According to the govt. This lake is pure as the lake Manimahesh . You can bathe here .

By the time we walked to the lake, in the drizzle, it had stated raining & there sad nobody at the lake. We had the whole place to outselves & it was magical. The rain pitter-pattering o on the lake surface, the dappled sunlight and the light spray of the rain made it romantic.

I've been to McLeodganj 5-6 times, and that few times, only because I'm at the opposite end of the country. One of my favourite places & that is because the greenery around is still largely maintained, though dwindling over the years that i've been visiting.

Beutiful lake amid lush green and dense Deodar trees. Sometimes lake may significantly dry up but the beauty is in the eyes. Should enjoy nature keeping aside daily stresses.

It's really nice and quite place. If you want to sit and enjoy the nature than it's perfect place. You can sit for hours and hours. Not much crowded place.
