Srirangapatna Light and Sound Show

We accidentally discovered this place. It’s a real gem! The setting is great and the show lasts for 45 min giving you the story of Srirangapatna from the eyes of Cauvery.

Ticket is 100 rupees per head.

Must visit if you are around!

Unfortunately I have not attended the light show here.. Day time you can visit and roam around the fort. Which has models of some monuments like summer palace, Temple and some more.

A must visit place before exiting srirangapatna. It's a light and sound show which starts in the evening. This show is available in English and kannada.
So visit once and enjoy ❤

A great historical fort. The experience while driving inside the fort is what I loved though is of a very short distance.

It's can be renovated to have a good experience of our history.

I visited here during the day and it's better to visit in the evening/night to get the actual light and sound idea I guess. Nevertheless place is awesome. It was still being renovated when I visited last time, I'll know better when I visit next time.

Historic Town. Capital of Tippu Sultan. He faught 4 wars against British. Ultimately died in 4th war. The town was built in a safe place surrounded by river Kavery on all the side. The town has famous temple of sriranganatha within the fort of Tippu Sultan. The town is near by world famous Birds sanctuary of Rangana tittu.

Every thing systematically made to sute the srirangapatnam, and put in place, models of cannons put in place, one can see temple, bailey dungun, watch tower , tipu place, and tipu symmetry in an one and half acre land in front of south east gate of the fort with appropriate lighting music simulation of system then.
Opposite to this on fort a very beautiful architectal landscape garden is made with good lifting arrangements are made for people to sit and relax. Good pavement path ways are made , it is quite nice tone there at leisurely times. roughly in an acre of land. Please the photos.
At the entrance of this road a good south and north Indian restaurant has come, I visited this place it is about 2 months old good dishes are served, it has a car parking area good architectural design, named HALLI MANE. PHOTO OF THE SAME IS TAKEN for information yesterday.
The hotel Halli Mane is facing Mysore -Bangalore High Way.
In a recent development , I happened to see a good shopping place adjacent to halli mane named coorg spices coffee and handy craft centre.

U can learn whole history of sri rangapatna in 45 minutes.. Good experience and educative

Srirangapatna Light and Sound Show is held every day at 7 pm and 8 pm in Kannada language. The duration of the show is 40 minutes long. The cost of the ticket is Rs 50 per head.

Nothing Much..just you can see from outside.. Ticket was 10 per head which we felt as not necessary as there was not much inside.. I am not sure of light and music at evening as I went morning.

Good for ornithologist, zoologists wild life photographers and kids to see, observe and learn at this river point but only light refreshments available here.

Past speaks history so this light and sound museum speaks about history in the era of tippu times and it's amazing monuments and structure
