Thus is the place where people intended to come but many tourists don't know this is the Actual Palace of Tipu Sultan. The guide or the other people always show summer Palace of Tipu Sultan or some people say mysore Palace as Tipu Sultan Palace. But sad, there is no conservation made by anyone. British tried to destroy on there behest as well history also.

The Lal Mahal and Tipu's palace inside the fort were demolished in 1799 when the British captured the fort.

HISTORIC PLACE THAT MUST VISIT, IT WAS THE MOST MAJOR PALACE OF MYSORE TIGER, THAT WE MUST SEE ONES AND MUST STUDY THE REAL HISTORY OF TIPU SULTAN, THE TIGER OF MYSORE, FREEDOM FIGHTER

this palace not exist now, its destroyed by Britishm, but the basement and structure still exist. this palace was the Control point of Tipu's empire. it has a under ground tunnel way linked to nearby Temple(temple made by him for his troops,) to Palakkad fort(around 300KM far) his summer palace etc.

it was the place where Tipu Sultan, manage his empire and train troops. he made a temple nearby this palace too for his Hindu soldiers , that he protected till now. this is the best example of Tipu Sultan's responsibility towards other religions and friendship between religions and casts.

there was a tunnel with linking several places in Mysore and outside Mysore including his Fort at Palakkad, 300 km far from this palace inside the palace is the best example of the technology and planning of Mysore Tiger.

Isn't it crazy how all the palaces, Museums and temples are saved and secured by the government but destroyed only Tipu Sultan's palace and left the ruins of it. Shame on the government for doing such a thing.

Gives you the historic bliss. Palace was destroyed by British immediately after the death of Tipu. You can find only the stairs and damaged walls. Place isn't maintained properly.

It'll be of no use to visit unless you know the historical relevance. Do hire a local guide, they'll take a minimal charge, and let your imagine flow back to the history!

A well designed natural surroundings, well attended restaurant for Indian, Chinese, western, vegetarian and non-veg food. A good experience for a memorable event.

Doesn't look like a palace anymore but once you enter and look around you will get a clear idea about how a royal darbar hall used to be.
