A very beautiful and peaceful place, where people gather to perform rituals, on the bank of river Cauvery.

With the water flowing continuously the sounds it makes is bliss. Sit under a tree and listen to the sounds, and that in itself should put you at peace.

Having said that, one of the things that needs to be banned immediately is people washing clothes and dirtying the ghat by throwing old clothes and garbage.

If you are around, I’d recommend a visit.

Recently I had lost my grandmother..☹.. we went here for hasthi visarjan.. it's a very holy place.. for doing pooja u need to book poojari.. and he will get all the things required for pooja.. u need to give dhakshina to poojari also.. they wil demand 100s only.. but u need to be careful.. and other cleaning women's also wil be asking for money.. so it's upto u.

The pooja place is little dirty.. temple authorities should maintain place clean.... Coz it's very difficult to sit in the dirt for pooja..

It's a very ancient place has its beautiful history.. a historical place.. beautiful place.. beautiful nature.. must visit..

A very pleasant place to spend time near the river Kaveri. Maintenance could be better as I see littering plastic and other items everywhere. The public should also be responsible in maintaining cleanliness here.

Felt like time travelled and went to a place in 17th or 18th century. This place is another mood. You can see old gods idols immersed in kaveri and old architecture which once stood with greater values there. I'd definitely come back to this place and spend an evening there.

Srirangapattana known for its Ranganathaswamy temple in the form of Lord Vishnu. Anyone who visits this temple has to visit this Srirangapattana ghat on the banks of river Kaveri which is less than 1km away from the temple. Lot of tourists take a bath here as they believe that their sins gets washed away along with the flowing Kaveri water. Some other tourists offer prayers to their ancestors here. If you’re a tourist visiting in Non tourist season, you’ll find peace here. Avoid during monsoons as the water flow will be unpredictable.

Wonderful place to rest after sightseeing in Srirangapatna. Watching the rushing waters is very calming. It is very close to Tipu Sultan's ruined Lal Mahal Palace, and a short way from the Sriranganathaswamy Temple. Kids and guys were swimming in the river, even though the water was polluted with garbage, plastic and ruined clothes.

Great Historical and classic place for hindu rituals to be done. And also a great tourist place near Sri Ranganatha swamy temple.

What a serene place. Can see cauvery clean and flowing. Must place for a dip and enjoy the cool cauvery.

People should be responsible and not dump clothing into the river

A holy place to prey for the deceased people is in the benks of kavery river. There is Sriranganatha temple at a walking distance. Some small temples and old trees are there. The authority has arranged the place comfortable to people coming for offerings and prayers. Calm and good view of kavery is there.
