Mahabodhi Temple

Absolutely incredible. Probably the most beautiful temple I've ever been to. Phones + electronics aren't allowed inside, there are lockers right outside for depositing those. Once you enter, take a guide, they'll tell you about all the different sites here, the history of the temple itself, michalinda lake, the bodhi tree and more. The place is covered in the most beautiful flowers, the vibe is absolutely zen, so beautiful! Must visit.

Except the approach everything great about the temple. I call it Temple of Great Peace. A must visit for everyone, particularly the young.

One of the most powerful spiritual place I have ever visited in my life. If you're inclined towards spiritual side you can clearly feel the surge of energy within you. Your life totally changes after visiting here, which can be felt only by themselves. It's a totally different experience. Everyone must visit.

Just try to respect and follow the rules once you're inside the temple. Strict screening and frisking will be done. Electronics and certain things are not allowed. Photography inside the temple is prohibited.

One of the most sacred place for Buddhism. 2500 + years before Gautam Buddha attained Enlightenment under bodhi tree.

Life time experience. Without this place World History is worthless 🙂.

A very warm and calm place for soul and peace. The monks are very good, they tell us about the place with all the details. The tree is literally giving positive vibe. I literally loved the place.. and the best thing is its the centre of attraction 🕉 will visit again.

I loved this holy place. This is the place where Gautam got his bodh (knowledge) and became Bodhadeb. The peace and calmness in this place is unforgettable.
I am more inclined towards Bodhadeb after visiting this place. I have seen many followers of him who were worshipping there without disturbing others. Most of them are foreigners.
Mobiles and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the vihara campus which can be kept in lockers free of cost.
No tickets are needed to enter.

Unique place for mental peace and calmness.. Leaving your shoes and mobile in lockers before entering the temple and roaming in the peaceful environment is an unique experience. You can meditate here and feel the existence of buddha here.

One needs to visit this place to feel it. No phones allowed but cameras allowed with a price. Clock room available. One of the holy places with Lord Buddha attaining Enlightment here. Being near the Mahabodhi tree is an experience that cannot be put into words. People travel from many countries to visit here. Must visit

A place to witness the power of a religion to melt down barriers of cultures and races~~

I love the energy and vibrations of this temple. budhist people are so beautiful inside they offered me prasadam. I had a talk with little monks too.

Man this a place one must visit whether a fellow is religious or not. Unfortunately camera is not allowed inside the temple premises else would have provided pitures. There were pilgrims from various south eastern, far eastern and other countries in groups they were mediating. It was surreal to hear the sound muted gongs resonating in air and the collective force of people's energy touching you. The premises is neat and clean, no dongy shops crowding you, no pandas chasing you, Will visit again in leisure.

The Mahabodhi Temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site, transcends being a mere historical monument; it serves as a sanctuary for inner peace and spiritual connection. The ancient Bodhi tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment seated under the Vajrasana, emanates a profound tranquility that inspires awe. The temple's serene ambiance and deep spirituality combine to create an unparalleled experience.

From the moment I stepped inside its sacred premises, I was enveloped by an overwhelming sense of peace. The atmosphere exudes a truly enchanting aura.
Mobile phones are prohibited within the premises, but they provide complimentary cloakroom services at the entrance.

I've had the privilege of making two pilgrimages to the Mahabodhi Temple, once in 2014 and again in 2022, and both experiences were profoundly powerful. Without a doubt, it remains my favorite destination to visit in all of India.

Awesome place for vacation and the vibes here generates a new energy...I felt a chain of good imagination and passion within myself 😍

I had really an amazing experience here. The peace and pleasant people around enhance its beauty. Mobile wasn't allowed inside so we could not capture pictures. Later we got to know you can carry your camera inside but you need to pay for it and take pass.

Unbelievable experience hard to explain in words it can only be felt on it's own as there is something special about this place. Must visit place mobile phones and electronic items are not allowed inside the premises counter is available outside the gate for safe storage of the gadgets if you would like to camera along with you then you have to pay INR100/- fee.

Bodhgaya is one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the World. It was here under a banyan tree, the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha,the Enlightened One.
