Karma Temple

The depictions of life of Lord Buddha and transition and transformation from Prince Siddharth to the real Torchbearer on the walls, elegant tapestry, bright chandeliers, numerous idols of Lord Buddha in various poses put in showcases of uniform size, monks and their disciples reciting hymns and chanting mantras with beating of drums and blowing of trumpets that make the entire milieu divine is what defines the Karma Temple.

The temple has huge open space in the front and the accommodation for monks is at the backside of the main temple. It is kept really clean and maintained well in every respect.

The divine sounds produced during the chanting accompanied with the vibrations produced by the sacred musical instruments are still echoing in my heart and soul.

The temple also has an amazing Coffee House with a unique name- Monks Enjoy Coffee where Thurani Gabi, a Hungarian serves best coffee of various kinds, European styled breakfast and mouthwatering fresh cakes. We enjoyed our Espresso shot and Long Coffee after paying our homage to Lord Buddha.

This is a beautiful small temple with three versions of Buddha in the sanctum. It is very well maintained. Both neat and clean. Outside the sanctum, The monastery is built in the pagoda style having an attractive architecture. Well maintained and peaceful atmosphere

Very Peaceful and Calm Place. There are stalls outside to eat and shop. We hired an Auto from the taxi stand. The auto takes you to all the Buddha Temples of that area. There are various temples based on country's name like Bhutan, Thailand, etc. Their is a Lunch time between 12pm to 1pm. That time temples were close. Worth visiting. All Over Nice Experience 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing place to visit in Bodhgaya it's very beautiful and so peaceful Tibetan temple know as Karma temple Established by the 2nd Beru Khyentse Rinpoche
His Eminence Palpung Beru Khyentse was born in 1947 in Nyethang region of Central Tibet, and is the second incarnation of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo one of the most important illuminators of Buddhism in Tibet.
Rinpoche is a renowned master of Tibetan Buddhism and in particular of Rime and Kagyu lineages and holder of many other secret tantric transmissions.
After completing the traditional four-year retreat in the Karma Kagyu tradition, Rinpoche established monasteries in Bodhgaya, in Kathmandu and the Nangchen monastery, nunnery, institute and three-year retreat center in Tibet.

Most beautiful temple around in my opinion. The architecture is incredible. A must see.

Very calm and peaceful place. There is a handicapped person here who arranges people's footwear properly and facing away from the temple. He was doing this in spite of the summer heat! Hardworking fellow!

This is the Karma Buddha Temple.
You can find here idol of Gautam Buddha shaped and decorated with Tibetan culture.
This temple is an example of excellent arts coloured with Tibetan culture.
People of various cultural, different religions and many foreign people also come to visit here throughout the year.

Wonderful small temple with scenes of Buddha's life depicted on the side walls.

A "must visit" temple along with Mahabodhi temple, the archeological museum and last but not least the cave where Siddhartha Gautama meditated for 6 years nicknamed "Mahakala caves"

Pleasant Experience, we arrived at Karma Temple in the morning and the local monks were really nice in providing us a place to stay for the night in one of the available rooms along with all the information we needed.

The temple itself is really beautiful and decorated, walking in its peace and admiring its beauty at the dawn is truly unbelievable.
