Palyul Namdroling Temple

The most beautiful monastery in all of Bodh Gaya. And while that's my opinion and completely subjective, this place is bound to make you feel things, whether peace, whether something far more intense depends on how you choose to experience it. But truly, the architecture, the colours, the vibe, a must visit when in Bodhgaya.

The Palyul Namdroling Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist temple and monastery located in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. It is a branch of the Palyul Monastery, which is one of the six great monasteries of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

The Palyul Namdroling Monastery was established in Bodhgaya in 1985 by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, the head of the Palyul lineage of the Nyingma tradition. The temple complex covers an area of over 10 acres and includes several buildings, prayer halls, and living quarters for the monks and nuns.

The main temple is a beautiful structure with traditional Tibetan architecture, adorned with intricate carvings and paintings. The temple houses several statues and relics, including a large statue of Guru Rinpoche (also known as Padmasambhava), who is considered the founder of the Nyingma tradition.

The monastery is home to over 1,000 monks and nuns and is a center for Buddhist teachings, meditation, and spiritual practices. The Palyul Namdroling Monastery is also known for its annual monlam prayer festival, which attracts thousands of Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world.

The temple is open to visitors, and guided tours are available to those who wish to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism and the history and traditions of the Palyul lineage.

This temple impressed me so much, i really would like to visit it one time more. Big nice teritory, beautiful architecture.

The fact is irrespective of religion people want to visit the place as it have a huge tourist attraction.

If you will see the temple clearly you will be astonished by the architecture with a very old devotional and religions belief. The temple is situated on the way of 80ft giant buddha and you will be happy looking at this.

Yes this temple is one of the unique in itself. Its architectutral designs attracts you. Very beautifully designed and decorated. Neat and clean place and very secure also.
Very peaceful and calm ful place. Love the designs that carved or made on the walls of temple. Huge campus area more than one or two buildings is also situated there. To listen the monks who is reciting is very mesmerising.

Literally the Palyul! It’s so clean, quiet, and beautiful place. I would give more star if possible. I will stay there every time I come to Gaya!

The temple is located near the Giant Buddha statue in Bodhgaya,there are three Big and beautiful Buddha statue in different mudras and there are 1000 of small Buddha statues adorning the three side wall from the floor to the ceiling. The outer wall is having some amazing paintings and there is a stupas like structure in the temple complex.

Just amazingly beautiful. Less footfall in comparison to other temples, but most spacious and aesthetically marvelous.

One of the best temple in Bodhgaya,the temple can be called 1000 Buddha Temple as numerous Buddha statues lines up the wall plus there are three big size statue of Buddha in different mudra, amazing wall painting and a beautiful stupa like structure in the temple complex ,not to be missed.

This monastery was established by Drubwang Padma Norbu Rinpoche 11th throne holder of Palyul lineage in the year 1963.
many ceremonies are held here around the year but most interesting one for the visitors is Tibetan new year. During this ceremony monastery hosts traditional Lama dance, hang Thankga. This ceremony runs for around 2 weeks.

Palyul Namdroling Temple is also known as PRCF temple located just near of 80 feet Buddha statue in Bodh Gaya Bihar. It is beautiful temple where everyone can get peace.. Must visit here.. lovely place
