One of the best temples of Bodh Gaya built by wood. Its made according to Japanese architecture .

A serene and quite temple, the decor of which provides a archetypical example of Japanese temple construction (at least as I understand it). Please note that as of February 2023 the daily chanting and meditation sits are no longer happening, which is unsurprising in this late/post-pandemic period. Nonetheless, it seems that you are still free to come and do your own meditation sits if you want.

It showcases Japanese paintings that depict important events of Buddha's life. Peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained.

Peaceful and Japanese style monastery. It seems to be always open for meditation. I arrived late in day, no one was around but the temple was open with a butter lamp burning. 🙏

Located very near to giant Buddha statue. It's excellent piece of architecture. As like other monastery this is also very colourful , photography is only allowed in premises but not allowed in temple. Excellent paintings, nice premises, very interesting stupas in premises. Please note that almost all temples in Bodh gaya are closed between 12 noon to 2 pm. Plan your visit accordingly

A Japanese zen-buddism shrine. Went there back in 2015 and after 8 years later went there last week.
It was a rainy afternoon. Quiet and serene. I booked a local Toto for sightseeing and came over here. Meditated there for 10mins straight. An enthralling spiritual experience for an agnostic person like me. Will be back here shortly again and will meditate for some more. 😊

Incredibly beautiful architecture. When I visited it was closed for public due to covid19. A must visit if you're in Bodhgaya.

This temple is one of the main religious sites in Bodh Gaya. Clean, green and sublime. Seat for a while in the temple or have walk in the garden, you will feel like meditating.

Being a center of Buddhist culture, it is no wonder that Bodhgaya is home to architectures and traditions from around the world wherever Buddhism holds prominence. A prime example of such features is the Indosan Nipponji Temple in Bodhgaya. This is a Japanese temple and monastery that promotes the Buddhist traditions and cultures from Japan in the city. The temple is built in beautiful Japanese style, holding its visitors spellbound. Inside, you will find many exquisite paintings in a distinct style that is native to Japan. The temple, constructed under the auspices of the Japanese government, is open to public from 5 AM until 6 PM on all days. Feel free to walk in and indulge your senses in everything Japanese.

One of the most quieter and less busy temples in Bodhgaya.
Joining the 5pm daily medition is recommended. A sweet monk plays instruments and chants to begin with, then we begin silent meditation. Very few tourists come here because it's not covered in gold, just an elegant, refined beautiful space for mindfulness.

INDOSAN NIPPONJi TEMPLE Is an outstanding example of the Japanese architecture and deep rooted Buddhist preaching, the Indosan Nippon Japanese temple is situated at a distance of 15 km from the town of Bodh Gaya. The temple itself has been carved out from wood and resembles a typical Japanese shrine.I went their with my maternal uncle, mom, dad and brother we went their by toto you can get toto or auto easily from main market place where our hotel also situted so must say you should visit their once when to came to Bodh Gaya
