I had an incredible stay at this homestay! The owner and staff were exceptionally nice, and everything from the view to the food and hygiene was outstanding. The river is very clean, and we all enjoyed spending time there. Joseph sir is very kind and The way Joseph sir offers his assistance is really commendable. If you’re looking for a pure nature retreat, I highly recommend this place. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

This farm stay experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and treated to an array of delicious meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The owner, Mr. Joseph, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay, readily accommodating our requests with a smile.

One of the highlights of our time here was the proximity to a natural river, where we could take leisurely walks and enjoy the pristine purity of the water.

While the farm stay offered a tranquil retreat, there were also plenty of nearby attractions to explore, including beaches, kayaking and other points of interest, all within a manageable one-hour travel distance. This balance of seclusion and accessibility made for a well-rounded and fulfilling stay.

Overall, I highly recommend a 3-4 day stay at this farm retreat. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a taste of rural living coupled with exquisite cuisine, this destination offers it all, thanks to the attentive care of Mr. Joseph and the idyllic setting

Extremely friendly caretaker Mr Mohan. Mr Joseph, the host was helpful in recommendations and quick response.
The vegetarian food cooked for all 3 meals on consecutive 3 days was mouth-wateringly delicious.
There was a beautiful stream about 500m from the farmhouse.
Remember to give belly rubs to Tippy and stay out of the cat’s way.

It's extremely rare to find such warm hosts and staff. Joseph uncle is very helpful, friendly and a soft spoken person. He made sure ALL of our requests were taken care of in the best possible way. Special mention to their staff Mohan for showing us around the farm, taking us on river walks and serving us freshly cooked hot meals. These guys genuinely love hosting and don't do it only for commercial gain.

We visited the farm with family. Since we're vegetarians and were traveling with aged parents and a toddler we were pretty particular about how we wanted the food to be prepared. Every meal they cooked was delicious and exceeded our expectation. We chose to eat traditional Kerala food, drank a whole lot of ginger tea, lol and loved it! Tasted the BEST EVER coconut milk! VERY humble and reasonable pricing for the kind of food they offered.

Deepak (Joseph uncle's son) is the first point of contact for booking and enquiry. Ended up changing dates post booking due to some personal commitments. Deepak was so understanding and accommodating about it.

Had the BEST family vacation at Palavayal Farm Resorts.The property is spacious and surrounded with greenery. Has nice a/c rooms with comfortable beds and super clean bathrooms. In the evening/night we loved just sitting in the portico and chilling on the hammocks. The river walk is beautiful and we spent hours playing in the river. This property has so much to offer, there's literally no need to step out for any sightseeing. It's an amazing place to visit with family, friends or even for team outings (they have about 5 rooms that can easily accommodate 15-20 people).

Definitely going to visit again!! If you're considering this place, just book it without thinking twice!

The farm house was a perfect destination to unwind and get close to the nature. The complete property is very beautiful and the "icing on the cake" was the private access to the river and the breathtaking island kind of place between the branches of the river.
Joseph Uncle was very sweet n friendly, he took us for a walk through the farm and also to the river. He made sure he was personally available in the farm and guided us during our complete stay.
Caretaker Mohan was also very friendly and always helpful,with anything. He took us for a river walk which was a very unique experience.
Geeta the cook, served us great home-cooked and authentic meals.
They also took extra care of our pet.
Great vacation, will definitely come back.

The rooms were very clean and well maintained and the house was big and had 5 rooms available. The food and service was extremely good and they were cooperative. The resort is situated in a farm and it had a river as well. U can explore the farm. Overall a good experience to just get away from the city and relax.

Perfect place for a nice break .. location is in midst of beautiful nature . Rooms are tidy , spacious and very clean . Hospitality is 10/10 .. We were treated like family members with utmost care . Joseph uncle was very caring and his route tips ensured we were always safe while going nearby as this place was raining heavily when we reached . Mohan chetta always helps out with a smile . Food is 10/10 .. In nutshell this place made me feel like home , away from my home .. Highly recommended !!

Awesome property for getaways. Excellent location & hospitality by Host -Mr.Joseph & the care taker - Mr. Mohan. You don’t feel like you’re at some resort as it feels like you’re at your home. Both Joseph & Mohan are down to earth people and were always there to help us. The rooms were very clean & neat, we planned initially to stay for 2 days & extended again by a day just because of these ppl, location of the place & the peaceful nature it is surrounded with. The property has a river flowing just behind & it was one of the most exciting part of the stay. Definitely planning on visiting this place next time & recommending this to my friends, family. Mr.Joseph has plans on expanding this property, so stay tuned ;)

Great Place, away from city noice and pollution. An abode for yourself.
I have been to Kerala many times but this has been the best experience so far.
Booked the property from airbnb , place is well sophisticated with present needs ( Food , TV , fast wifi and AC)
Its a big property of arpund 15 acres with spices and fruits cultivation.
Place is pets and kids friendly and can get anything you wish.
Owner - Joseph and Caretaker - Mohan made the stay very pleasant and memorable for us.
They both went an extra mile just for our wishes like we wanted local cakes and special requirements on food items. They happily did our need full.
I highly recommend this place.

Best experience ever.
I visited this quaint resort with my friends in October. Host, Joseph uncle is so warm and kind. He took care of every little details, from proper guidance to reach the resort, ( it was a little tricky to reach the property) food, taking us for a dip into the river in the evening as well as next day for a short trek via river (One of the best part of the stay). And, we had a cute furry company of 5 little cats. Had an amazing company with Joseph uncle, got to know about farm history, culture, food. He has recorded so many videos of our river trek which was so thoughtful of him. He also provided us with the Black pepper and pure coconut oil.
Mohan uncle was also amazing , he along with Geeta Aunty cooked amazing authentic food for us and he was available all the time to take care of our needs. Overall a really very nice place to stay with family and friends if you want to have a peaceful yet beautiful fun-filled time in God's own country, Kerala.
Thank you once again Joseph uncle and staff for all the hospitality. Looking forward to visit once again!!

Stayed at Palavayal Resort in late April 2022. We came by road and finding the estate is a little tricky. Host Mr Joseph is very courteous and helpful. The resort is very new, so the room/ bath is in top condition. Food is amazing. Best feature is the stream running by the side of the estate. Amazing place to take a dip, totally private.

The farmhouse was everything you'd need for a private vacation. Free from the sounds of the city and truly a getaway from everyday corporate lives, this place is perfect to relax and rejuvenate.

The river that flows through the property was relaxing and a great place to be at, and to enjoy. With no one to disturb you, you can enjoy a private soak with the pebbles and the fish with the soothing sound of the water flowing in the background.

The owner of the place Jose, was rather accommodating and welcoming. The food was prepared according to our liking and the place staff were nice and helpful.

The place forms a great vacation spot for anyone, especially families to just come and relax with no tension or stress. The silence of humans and sounds of nature are surely calming and needed.

The perfect family solitude package with a luxe stay and the most authentic food for the best prices. Plus points are even accommodating pets with fun activity packed geography with a private lake, and river rafting and waterfall experience within a short radius. Had a peaceful trip with this super host. Family and pets highly recommended!

Situated just beyond the Karnataka-Kerala border is this quaint resort. It is well maintained and close to the river. The hosts, Deepak and his father Joseph, were really helpful and took care of any arrangements that were needed. Deepak was constantly in touch with us to ensure that we reached the place without any hassle. We enjoyed going for the river trek which was guided by them both. The home cooked food was delicious and we were well taken care of by his staff. Our stay was too short, but hopefully we will return here for a longer duration as there's lots more to explore in this place.

The farm is located in a very calm place, it seems like it is untouched by the modern world. I observed that being a remote area, still roads are in very good condition. We reached very smoothly from the Payyanur bus stand to the farm. The property was neat and clean. I feel nature very closely the greenery of farm, fruit n spices trees, birds chirping and river babbling all are therapy for the soul n body. Host and staffs (Mohanan and Geeta)were welcoming in nature. We had a memorable moment at river trekking, Deepak personally took care of all the safety measures. Very friendly host and during the stay hosts were always in touch. On the other day, we had a great time with Joseph uncle, knowing about the culture, farm history, and many more. The food was delicious having authentic Kerala style. Thanks, Geeta aunty for the delicious food. Deepak and Joseph uncle took care of all the needs. He was available all the time. This time we had a short trip, planning to stay longer in the future.

Palavayal has bcom my home where i visited twice in last 6 months. Last weekend i took my family upto 15 members here. Away from hustle bustle of city life. Rooms are spacious & clean. Authentic kerala sytle food, Stream within the farm. Big shoutout to the host Joseph sir for being so courteous and kind. My whole family truly enjoyed.

God's own country!!! Kerala, especially The Palavayal Farm resorts, is just the place, for peace, solitude, tranquility! Greenery as far as the eye can see, with parrots and lots of birds in the trees, fills your soul with joy! Fruit trees, banana, coconut, mango, rambutan, jackfruit, nutmeg, pepper, Areca nut!! A stream at a stone's throw, is just the place to curl up with a novel! And, for the more adventurous, river rafting and kayaking down the river with experienced guides,is a thrilling experience. There is a waterfall nearby, but due to the onset of the monsoons,it was difficult and dangerous to access it, so instead we enjoyed ourselves in a nearby smaller stream. As for the food and hospitality, it was like a home away from home. We were treated to authentic Kerala food, prepared in a homely style, by the in-house cook. Delicious. Both veg, and non veg. The rooms were comfortable, well ventilated, without any need for AC. The wash rooms were clean and hygienic. And, last but not the least, it's a pet friendly place! So,we were able to bring our three adult dogs ( two Labradors and an English Retriever) , who enjoyed themselves as much as we did. Overall, a very nice place to chill for a holiday with family and friends.

Excellent place, house with a river close by. Hosts took good care of us, 9 people in the house. Food was nice, kitchen team was ever ready with whatever you ask for. Entire team of Jose uncle, Francis, Johny and Mohan, they know how to keep the guests happy, ever willing to help and go out of the way to get you anything you ask for, even if it meant to go far and get it at anytime of the day. Must visit place, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay food and goodwill of the host and his team. Keep it up

Palavayal farm resort is an amazing place to relax.Cozy and silent atmosphere n the villa is close to river.The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The service and food were excellent.
We had wonderful time and would definitely recommend to friends n family. Thank u for such outstanding service.
