Tahr Mountain Camp

One of the best experiences visiting the Western Ghats. Manoj chettan has the most heart warming welcoming, who also drove us in his Jeep up to our point of stay. Trekking the next day was even more breathtaking. It’s an awesome feeling for the whole time you are there.

A beautiful place, serene and peaceful. We went in November, 2021. It was surrounded in mist throughout the day, low visibility but that gave it a chilling and heavenly feeling. The only time things cleared a bit were the early morning hours. It was still cloudy in the morning, so we couldn't see the sunrise. But still the stay, the food, the trek, the ride to the camp spot and staff were all wonderful.

1. Jeep ride up the hill to camping spot.
2. Many tents and accomodations available, including tree houses.
3. Dinner and campfire.
4. Morning trek to see sunrise (if God wills).
5. Jeep ride back down to where u parked ur personal vehicles.

Amazing. It is one the most memorable trips I had. Thanks so much Benny for giving us a wonderful experience. I would suggest to go when there is no rain, so that the rocks won't be slippery.

Visited here on 2017, A very nice experience. Good food and friendly staff. Morning view is worth the visit. Interested party can go for a morning trek to nearby hill.

Had a great weekend on this property with my friends.. made new friends.. Good hospitality and was given complete privacy for our camping which is the sole purpose for camping 😁 Kolukkumalai and meesapulimalai is near to this camp..
Have a great view of sunrise in the midst of fine grown cardamom.. very good experience..

One of the best place for adventures with reasonable price..had a great time and the treckking will be the best .they guided very kindly and care taking was wonderful... suggest for treckkers mainly and food was very good.

kramudi peak is best approached from the tahr mountain camp site... its a beautiful site well away from civilization and u gotta reach there by 4x4 jeep through lush green cardamom plantations... they have their own trekking path from their camp site.. its worth it.. qe approach the peak on the beautiful side.. but tough trek though... but u ll love it.. i couldn't reach the top.. scared n tired to go further.. but our guide sudheesh is always with u in all ur needs
