A place to visit at least once
Thekkady is a beautiful area with mountains, eye-pleasing greenery, mist, river, forest and wild animals. Thekkady is known as the home of tigers.Thekkady is a great place for a one day trip, if you plan a little well you can see many places in a single day.The national park and wildlife sanctuary is one of the important sights. Every day between 6 am and 7 pm tourists have access here. I love nature and wildlife and my favorite is the safari tour. Not only day but also night safari. I went during the day. One and a half hour boating is also available in the Periyar Lake in the middle of the National Park.If you come to thekkady, "It will be a big loss: if you come to the Elephant Camp and don’t go for an elephant ride"

One of the best Elephants parks i have visited. No. Of Elephant where good. Almost no wait time. They charge 500/- for a 25 min ride and 1000/- for a ride and bath. It was a lifetime experience for us. A must try activity in Thekkady.

This place offers an excellent opportunity to experience an elephant ride. Additionally, visitors can enjoy Kathakali (traditional dance) and Kalari (traditional martial art) performances. These shows are highly interactive and provide a unique cultural experience. The elephant ride lasts for approximately 20-30 minutes and includes a photography session. The dance and martial art shows are each approximately 1 hour long. It is advisable to book tickets in advance to secure better seats in the auditorium.

Elephant safari and elephant bathing was awesome.
Price is pretty high. Safari is 500 rs and bathing is 500 rs per person.
But need to coordinate with the timings to cover all the other activities like magic show, kathakali, marshal arts etc along with elephant safari.

It was an amazing experience though we couldn't watch any wild animals.... The climate and the excitement with the people around, I really enjoyed :)

This was an experience to remember…
We took tickets for elephant feeding and batching.. each activity costs 500/- per head and in one session two people should go together. There’s a package with feeding bathing and riding, we didn’t want to ride on so chose feeding and bathing which is minimum to be taken for a package.

Although we don’t get much time with elephant but I feel that’s enough 10-20mins to be there with them, click pictures and watch them resting is fun.

The best part is when elephant showers you with his trunk. And feeding them is so adorable.. 🐘😄

Must visit this place. You can have elephant ride there, as well as other activities like bathing with elephant. Elephant ride is 500 Rs per person for 20 minutes. The elephant person clicks your photographs & videos as well..
There are 5-7 elephants. Around 30 minutes wait if there is rush.
Other activities like Kathakali show & Marshal art is there only.

It is a good 20 minute elephant ride. U can opt for elephant bath as well where you sit on the elephant and the elephant showers you with water through his trunk. This activity is also for 20 minutes. The charges perpetrated person are 500 Rs for ride and 500 Rs for bath.

Very well trained elephants with appropriate elevation for safe ride. Don't miss the blessings the elephant gives you at the end of the ride. Travel off peak or ensure you are there before 9 am for a quick and speedy ride.

It's a nice ride but waiting time is long
Almost 1hr. I would recommend morning time to visit elephant safari but if you want to enjoy kathakali, magic show and kalaripattu as all these shows are at the same place including the elephant safari, then finish your elephant ride by 4:45pm and then enjoy rest of the shows from 5pm.

It was an awesome experience.. riding the elephant and bathing elephants. It’s 1000 rupees. But be careful you are not the only person riding elephant they make it 2 to 3 people.some trainers are good but others may expect huge tips .

Awesome experience everyone has to try this once in a lifetime time, elephant ride and elephant bath both must try they charge 1000 per person and it’s totally worth it elephant camp, boating, jeep Safari and kerala shows all in same place… pls go with kids and it’s totally safe

Long wait, worth the ride. Suggest advance booking in case of holidays. Very organized and tourist friendly

The bath of a lifetime.
I always wished to be this close to an elephant. Bathe it. Bathe with it and get drenched from the water through its trunk.
Once done, ride on it through the jungle. It was all worth it and a trip to Kerala is never complete without it.

Superb experience, they have many elephants and a few of them are celebrity, like used in Bahubali and some south indian movies. Elephant bathing was one of a kind experience and their elephant ride is in a thick spice vegetation where you can spot a few birds and animals like kingfishers, hornbill, gaint squirrel, black monkeys, etc.

I realIy enjoyed riding on a elephant. It was a great experience to go on a ride on elephant. I was tensed but it was not that scary, we have to hold on the bars on bed kept on the elephants 🐘🐘, no other safety equipments, but it is safe .
They said the ride is for 20 minutes maybe whole time that takes in waiting for the elephant to come ,to get over it ,sum total can be 20.During weekend you have to wait a lot as there many will be there to get on a ride but it is smooth during weekdays.
There are photo session included with the ride. Mahout(pappan) will take pictures if we give our phones, these are all included in that session. They all are friendly and cool.
They charge ₹500 per head for ride.
