It's pleasant and peaceful place to medi6on lord Murugan at the hill top suyambu murugan with Valli and deivanai where he itself meditate on himself and above another hill top pinakku sidhar who lived there. The Temple is well maintained and organised with all facilities. To claim hill top 1450 steps 30-45mins will take also by own vehicle or by public transport on particular time we can travel to to top.

It's one of the oldest temples in this area. There is a belief that it was built even before the Palani temple. An entry ticket to this hill is 20 rupees for a car. A mini bus is in operation to reach the temple which is located on the top of the hill. A few hairpin bends and a slop. The temple is very clean, calm and beautiful.

A very peaceful temple on a hill.

You can drive or ride up until the Temple premises so go straight into the temple arch and drive up.

A nice little drive with a few hairpin Bends.

One of the great temple to visit near Tirupur. Bus facility is also available but if you have an own Car it would be good to drive the hills and climb around 200 steps to climb for Moolavar Sannidhi and Pinnakku Sidhar. Nice temple to visit and get blessings from Lord Muruga

Had a great darshan on 16th December, Sunday morning at around 7:45 am. You can either climb 1300 steps or go by your own vehicle to hill top. Hilltop road is about 4km. There are buses available from 8:30 am to go uphill.

Nice ambience and a beautiful scenic view of the town from the hill top.
On seeing the deity , lord Muruga ( Subramania swamy) in various forms of Alankaram, one gets a divine feeling.
Crowd management is very nice.
The temple management operates a feeder bus service from the Town Bus stand at the bottom of the hill to the temple, for those who can't climb the stairs.

A very very peaceful temple dedicated to Lord Muruga. This is a hillock situated around 50 kms from perundurai and around 20 kms from Erode. One can climb the steps and reach the temple or one can drive to the top. The toll is 20 Rs. Distance is 4kms and good road. Ample car parking available on top. Lot of monkeys. Be careful. There is also abus service from the foothill. Better to take your own vehicle. Only a few steps to reach the sanctum. The main sanctum is Lord Muruga. The diety can be seen from the Q itself. There are also two Shiva and ambal shrines inside the temple. One has to climb another 2 kms if one has to visit the Siddhar shrine. There is a lot of legacy behind this temple. The official website has all the details. Special dharshan tickets also available. The famous Kandhar Shasti Kacacham was sung here. One can have a great view of Erode town from the top. It's windy and cool.

This temple is at a distance of approximately 25 - 30km from Erode Busstand, and hardly 13.km from Perunthirai busstand. Good connectivity of public transport is seen, also there are mini bus services till the top of the Chennimalai...

By Trek one has to climb 1300 foot steps to reach the hill top, at the foot of the hills witness Idumban, and then proceed, in route there is Aathi Vinayagar temple, then move to the top to witness the divine supremacy of the Siragiri Lord Murugan.

After the Moolavar sannidhi, there are Valli - Deiyvanai temple, followed by Pinnakau Siddhar cave.

Temple architecture is grand, premises are clean and neat, a spectacular view of Erode - Coimbatore can be seen from hill top, also beware of monkeys you can see them more often trying to grab your eatbles.

Month of visit : December
Time : Morning 9
The floating population was moderate
Avoid trekking bw 10-12

There are almost 1300 steps to reach the temple shrine. But through vehicle one can reach the temple avoiding the steps. Climbing few more steps one reaches the shrine of valli and deivayanai.Moving a few more steps one reaches the top where there is siddhar samadhi.

I went early Morning around 7 and it was not crowded. I parked the car at the foothill and hiked all the way up. Not gonna lie, it was a tough hike but plenty of shades to sit and enjoy the flowers and the animals. Be careful with the bags though, there are aggressive gang of monkeys that nearly got my bag away. I had to put my bag under my shirt in order for them to leave me. Even then one of them was trying it's best. They ar every bold. You can also drive up too. There is a car park up the hill with plenty of room. The temple itself is very nice too. I recommend going in the mornings or evenings.

We went to the hill and had darshan of Lord Murugan.
It takes a thousand eyes to see Murugan in Vibhuti Alangarm.
Don't miss to enjoy the antics of the monkeys.
Parking under trees.
Clean toilet facilities.

Divine place. Clean and well maintained. The path to siddhar Samathi is also good. Crowded during Tuesdays and sasti days. Bus facility available till temple top from foothills. Annadhanam is will there for most of the auspicious days. Parking facility is good for both bikes and cars.

The most famous temple of Lord Muruga in Coimbatore District is Chennimalai. This world famous temple of Lord Muruga is where Lord Arunagirinathar was blessed with "Padikasu", wealth of coins. This is where an unusual phenomenon, rather a miracle took place in the year 1984 on 12th February.

takes a 15 minutes drive to reach the hill temple by road and it gives a thrilling experience while travelling through the lush green forest with the steep slopes on the side. 1320 steps to climb up.
