Rajgir International Cricket Stadium

Nalanda International Cricket Stadium is a proposed cricket stadium in Nalanda, Bihar. [1][2]After completion the stadium will be home of Bihar cricket team.
2018, it was announced by the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar that an international cricket stadium will be constructed at Rajgir in Bihar's Nalanda district. On 12 Oct 2018, Nitish Kumar has laid the foundation stone of Rajgir international cricket stadium. The stadium will be the second stadium that can host international venue after Moin-ul-Haq Stadium and will be built on model of Sydney Cricket Ground. The stadium will be built in 90 acres of land with an estimated cost of Rs 800 crore.[1][2] It is estimated to be inaugurated by 2020.

It will be state of art stadium which will have facilities of 28 indoor and outdoor games including cricket with all modern facilities like research centre, motivation centre, sports library, swimming pool, cafeteria and separate hostel for boys and girls [

Rajgir International stadium is an under construction cricket stadium and sports complex in Rajgir, Bihar. After completion of construction, this stadium will be the home of Bihar cricket team. The total capacity of the stadium will be 45,000 seats. Once the stadium is built, it will be the largest stadium in Bihar and the most modern as well. Apart from being used for cricket, the sports complex is also being developed in a way so it can also be used for other sports as well like football.

The stadium will be built on 90 acres of land with an estimated cost of ₹633 Crore. It will serve as an international cricket stadium as well as a sports academy.

The construction should have been completed in 2022, but As of January 2023, only 40% of the works have been finished.

The construction of the stadium began in October 2019 and will require 3 to 4 years to be completed. Government of Bihar has allotted 700 crore for this project. This project is undertaken by construction company Shapoor Pallonji.This will bring cricketing culture back in Bihar and all those people who want to see their stars playing in front of them. Thia stadium will become the home ground for the Bihar cricket team who could play all their home matches here. This will provide huge platform for the aspiring cricketers in Bihar. Also this stadium will add to the regional development of that area where stadium is built as more and more hotel companies will establish their hotels here. Also other developments like IT park and Film city is also being built nearby to the stadium. This will be huge boost for the Bihar GDP growth as big IT and other corporate companies will be attracted to open their office there. Overall we can say this is going to be beneficial for the betterment of the people of Bihar

This place is too good and rajgir is my native place near by stadium nalanda university is under construction so after completing both thing one new thing going to start that is it flim city and in coming days this area become very popular.

It is gorgeous& unbelievable.and easy to arrive here,it is mostly 4 km distance to rajgir railway station
