Jagannath Temple

A very beautiful temple built on the lines of Shri Jagannath Puri temple. When the people of the Utkal community who had come here from Odisha were not able to visit Lord Jagannath Puri Ji again and again. Then together they built a temple with the exact shape of Jagannath. It became famous by the name of Chirmiri Jagannath or Pondi Jagannath Temple.

This place is even more prettier as shown in picture. Definitely going to visit again.

It is located in Gram panchayat of  Pondi under Khadgava Janpad Panchayat . This temple belongs to Utkal society and  a form of the Puri Jagannath temple of Odisha, where the festival is organized in every year on Maha Shivndapa.

Temple is situated in hill top and easily noticed while entering chirmiri from nagpur road. Temple is spacious as well as have good parking space.

This is a very beautiful temple, it is very old, every year a fair is also held in Mahashivratri. And the view here is very good, you must come to visit this once.

We 3 people had gone to the temple from Korea. Climbing the long stairs there, the door of the temple is visible in front. There is a pillar as soon as you enter the temple and there is a darshan of God ahead.

By visiting there you'll get confuse to create a difference between "Puri & chirimi"

Its one of the most serene places of this small and beautiful town called Chirimiri. This temple is on a hill. This whole locality is enriched with beautiful farms and greenery. Its a religious place. Parking is not a problem here however if you feel hungry you may have to struggle a tiny bit. Its a place worth visiting if you want a break from city noise.
