One of the best beaches of Odisha ! It is popular for being one of the few sites in India where Olive Ridley Turtles nest. Flanked with coconut and casuarina groves and is a perfect outing for a languorous weekend. The four-month period from November till February is the best time to visit Gopalpur, due to cooler climates, lower levels of moisture and greater tourist activities to enjoy. The beach, the water, and the environment in Gopalpur is nothing less than charming during this period.It’s huge as well as crowded. But I like this place a lot . Just 8-9 kms from Berhampur city . It has got 7/8 feel depth withing 10 meters, so please be very very careful while batching. In a full moon night, the beach shine like pearl, so don't miss it if you are there at that time. The parking staffs have some really rude or extreme behaviour. They are always fighting there near gopalpur sea beach with visitors for less space . Bad experience with parking always . It’s better to walk if staying nearby . There is a lighthouse as well but not sure if we can climb up there. There are few vendors selling food items as well as things like toys, jewellery, etc

Very clean water, beach is a bit dirty and can be improved. But still very clean compared to cities like vizag.

There are stalls, they sell coconut water, jhal muri and chana.

Early Morning there was high tide, but as day progressed it lowered and opened up really good and safe play area for kids.

Lot of sea food options on beac road, toy vendors. Must try is Rabri on road side, sold frozen in small matka wrapped with foil

Clean, well maintained beach. Multiple entry points. Ample parking space. Many eating joints. Well connected to Berhampur and Chatrapur.

It is a very beautiful beach which is very neat and clean. The beach is open from morning 05.00 am till night 10.00 pm.

You can experience the scenic sunrise with your friends and family. You can relax yourself in the weekends besides the sea and enjoy nariyal Pani. The waves are quite strong and the water is clean and white. It is very crowded during the peak season and especially during the evenings.

Best period to visit Gopalpur beach is in between November to February.

There are a couple of resorts with the best resort being Mayfair beach resort. It is appx 16 kms from Barhampur railway station.
