Earlier it has chair type Ropeway. But in the close Cabin it is more safe and can send 8 persons in a cabine. Good way to Reach Shanti Stupa Rajgir. You can enjoy the great view from the Cabine. it cost 120₹ per person both way.

Nowadays the government is planning to build several ropeways in bihar to generate revenue from tourism.
The Rajgir Ropeway is a single person seater rope line that leads you all the way to the top of the scenic Ratnagiri Hill which houses the famous Vishwa Shanti Stupa, also known as the Peace Pagoda.

It gives you a thrilling adventure and experience.

Another box type ropeway is built beside this ropeway which is currently closed due to technical issues.

Ropeway is the easiest way to reach your destination where you want. Most of the people travel for "Shanti stoop" . Because Rajgir is Srounded by too much of mountain Area. So it's difficult to some people .

A dashing beautiful ropeway ride through the hilly terrains of Rajgir is absolutely breathtaking ! It's a single seat ropeway channel, used for both tourism as well as a transport purposes between the plain land and the iconic white Viswa Shanti Stupa or the world peace site, at the top of the hill. It's a small ride, worth a thousand dollars. A great deal of the hilly vast land is visible from here, stretched far across. It's mesmerizing !!

New cabin car ropeway is good one. If you don’t have fear of hight then the old one is gem. This is the hell of the experience.

A family cabin as well as a single sitter ropeway is also available. Up and down charges for the cabin is Rs 120/- per person while for a single sitter it's Rs 100/-. You can use an old single sitter for excitement. But with a family cabin one is recommended. It will take you to Griddhkut mountain where Wishwa Shanti Stoop is situated.

Old style ropeway, new 4seater ropeway will be build by December 2020, you will enjoy the ride. I don't feel it safe for children and old age people. Around 400-500metre distance u will cover. On the top Budhha temple is dere that is very beautiful. And beware of Monkey..

It was so adventurous to ride Ropeway. While going through ropeway u can see the scenic beauty of rajgir from upper view with mountain, cloud and all prettier views with ropeway passage.

One of the best places to visit in Bihar. This ropeway is one of the oldest ropeways in India.

My suggestion would be to take the ropeway while coming down, that way you can see the natural beauty of Rajgir and also enjoy an enthralling experience.

Once you reach there you can also take ropeway for going up directly to Shanti stupa but I would suggest to do a small trek up the path to Shanti Stupa. That way you can enjoy the scenic beauty of Rajgir. You will spot many monkeys on the way so be alert. There are water taps while going up. You will also find local vendor selling water/cold drinks etc.

Spend some time at the Shanti Stupa and then come down using the ropeway.

it was an awesome experience seeing cleanliness and well maintained tourist spot in Bihar, ropeway is a must try to reach up to the budha stupa and a small monastery. Great view all around with mix of small hills and plain land. Other side on the top has a great square shaped lake view which is actually an explosive factory waste management. You can do ghoda katora from the starting point of ropeway if you reach there before 3pm as last horse ride leaves at 3pm max, it takes 100rs per passenger for a horse ride and no other vechiles are allowed inside. It's a 6.5kms stretch from ropeway starting point to lake which has boating, great view and gigantic lord buddha 🙏 You can make a day trip from nearby cities to Rajgir and can cover ghoda katora and ropeway to experience thrilling ropeway with standard issues considering bihar as backward, a traditional bumping horse cart ride, boating, mother nature with small hills and lord buddha footprints and spirituality feelings.
