Jog Falls View Point

Awesome place to see nature’s wonder. Its majestic and 4 streams of water are named Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket.

Good time to visit is from July to September. We saw falls from top view which is a unique experience. This view point is not allowed for general public now because of safety concerns but local guides can help you to explore when its a good time.

This is the main view point,it is near hotel maurya. Breathtaking view. Best time to visit is during the monsoons, but sometimes the clouds can cover the view, wait it out the wind will clear the view every now and then.

There’s no good restaurant around, so make sure either to carry some snacks or eat before visiting here.
There is only one restaurant near jog falls that is “Mayura” and it is not pure vegetarian restaurant.

It becomes foggy sometimes and hides the entire view of hills and waterfall.
Good place to spend quality time with oneself.

Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 m (830 ft), making it the second.

Jog Falls is a combination of four different falls – Raja, Rani, Rocket and Roarer. Each of these falls from a different height, with the highest one, Raja, falling from 830 feet.

The best time to visit Jog Falls is during the monsoon season, from July to September when the waterfall is in its full glory. There are several viewpoints from where visitors can enjoy the beauty of Jog Falls. The main viewpoint is located on the opposite side of the waterfall and offers a panoramic view of the falls.

Jog Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder! The sheer drop and the thunderous roar of the water are awe-inspiring. The lush greenery surrounding the falls adds to its beauty. The viewpoints are well-maintained, offering stunning views. A must-visit for nature lovers and photographers!

Jog falls is Beautiful scenery. We visited this place the 1st week of July 2024. The view points are under renovation due to which only one view point was open for visitors. The weekend is crowded and finding a parking place for a vehicle is difficult.

No online payment need to carry hard cash for entry ticket, property is under construction need carry your own snacks, no designated parking for vehicle because still its under construction,

Amazing View of the falls. The waterfalls is magnificent and great to keep staring at. Was not that crowded plus ample space for parking. I would recommending to stay there watching the falls for sometime since the weather keeps changing and you will be able to see cloud movements, mist formations due to water splashes giving it overall a lifetime experience.

Visited on 17th Feb 24. The water flow was low, but had a nice view.

There is renovation work going on in the area and also the road work is also going on.

There are lot of plants come up, obstructing the view. Hence the view upto the bottom of the falls is not visible.

The entry fees was §10 per person. Expected too much water during monsoon, but due to late monsoon flow was normal.

The location was chill and the sound of the falls was like giving soul to life.
You can spend an entire day here.

I will recommend to stay nearby since the weather keeps changing and yo can experience weather change time by time.

There is river side boating also much recommended to enjoy river side boatings which is just 2 km away from jog falls

Jog Falls are unique as the water does not stream down the rocks in a tiered fashion; it thunders down the slope losing contact with the rocks, making it the tallest un-tiered waterfall in India. The beauty of the waterfalls is enhanced by the lush green surroundings, which provide a scenic backdrop.
Currently some maintenance works going on at the entry gate and parking spaces. But we can visit the falls easily by walking around 150 metres.
