Tourist are not allowed to visit near Dam as per locals, so I was told to view the Dam from the this View point.

View point is mesmerizing, it's all surrounded by the greenery and then there is this Giant Dam.

It wasn't full though, because monsoon was just starting.

Nice view from top on Kargil road . Only place from which you see the water gates from this route. Bad to see plastic and bottles littered ☹Google maps takes you to linganamakki dam where they permit nor can you see the gates

Linganamakki Dam is one of the largest dam in Karnataka. The view point is well connected from the main road and located inside the staff quarters
