Sri Sri Ravishankar Birthplace

Wonderful place to visit ..just that it's center of the town, so crowded roads too much traffic in town ...but worth visiting his birthplace very calm, peaceful.
Sometimes it's closed so enquire before going, also there is a cell number on board, you can call him and he will open it for you ....😇 well maintained

No words to express that can capture what I feel about being in this place. It is ecelctic and surreal experience and at the risk of sounding outlandish, I tell you that it is highly energising place, and it looks like Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is Present in every inch here.
Nice caretakers who opened the place for his at their lunch time and made us feel so welcome (a feature with any Art of Living person/place), If you don't believe whatever is reviewed here, just get there at the earliest and thank me later.

Tucked inside the quaint , serene Papanasam is the divine home that witnessed the birth of HH Sri Sri Ravishankar-ji, the globally renowned spiritual leader. We arrived a bit early in the morning (0700am), but the watchman who stays right opposite came quickly with the key and let us inside. One could experience a profound feeling of peace and happiness as you step inside the cute little home with the traditional courtyard in the middle.

His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's birth place at Papanasam is a must see place in Tanjore area when you visit for temples. His home is well maintained and super clean. I felt a great sense of happiness, contentment while I was there an hour in his house. I am happy that he opened his house for visitors, devotees to visit, meditate, and rejoice in his traditional build house.

A special feature that I liked in his house is that one can see the Temple Tower Peak (Gopura Dharsan) of both - Main Deity and also the entrance of the Siva Temple just from entrance of the house.

No wonder Guru Dev is destined to bring transformation to masses from his very birth.

Spiritual place with good vibes

Gurudev's birthplace carries His divine vibrations. The place has an old world charm with a beautiful Tulsi madum in the middle of a mittham. Pictures of Gurudev's parents takes one back to His childhood. It's a good idea to refer Bhanu Didi's book on Gurudev to get a feel of the times.

Divinely place. Energy we felt on entering the room in which Guruji was born was amazing. Ganesan who is the care taker of the place was very friendly and helpful.

This city of temples is worth visiting. 1008 temples. All around the city one can see towering gopuras of temples. Blessed r the people living here. U get a positive vibration in this place. Gurijis place Papanasam, removes all papas of this birth. The Shiva temple with 108 shivalingas are worth visiting and walkawy distance is Sri Sris house. We were lucky to visit, have a small session of puja, nama japa and meditation.
Speciality of all temples, Shiva is the main diety even though the temples known for other gods. Even in the navavraha temples, shiva the supreme god is dominant.
SHIVOHAM, SHIVOHAM, SRI SRI RAVISHANKARAM. Yes, he is a part of shiva born in this holy place.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar birth place. HE is transforming millions of life by Sudarshankriya wonderful breathing technique through Art of Living courses. Everyone in this planet need to do Happiness Program and to visit this blissful place.

Was glad that this place is still maintained and allowed for public viewing, when I visited saw the gate locked, there is a caretaker's house near by, who open the gate and allowed inside, it's very pleasing to experience spending few quite moments in this devine place, JGD.
From Kumbakonam it took just 30mins drive, mode of transport, bus, auto or cab services are available from Kumbakonam.

It's a spiritual experience to be in the place where Gurudev was born and had spent his childhood.
