Petroglyphs of Barsu

Petrolyth - some ancient rock carvings can be found here. Time in which these are made is yet to be confirmed. It is said that these can be as old as 10000 years.

Accessible via kuccha road of 2km, the petroglyphs are out in the open and anyone can visit them. There is a small signboard at bus stop to show directions from the highway. There are 4 large petroglyphs which are marked using stones and outlined using chalk.

On some arts the because of strong magnetic field our compass current locate north direction accurately
If you are place mobile on that art the accuracy of your location displaying on your mobile will be not accurate

Location is remote from main road and around 3 km of off-roading.

Most of the petroglyphs are clear and easy to identify. Some figures are hard to believe that they are man-made and no machines were being used, amazing.

Though the road access I in bad shape the historic artwork was worth it. It's like a treasure hunt game to find and see each carving of the Collection

This place is incredible! If you can bear the rocky road down to the hill it’s so worth a visit. Will probably fade away in coming years… go whilst you can.

One of the ancient stone carvings present in Maharashtra. Less explored and less studied. Recommend for students and history enthusiasts.

री बाळुमामा यांनी त्यांचा बहुतांश वेळ मारगुदेवी मंदिरात घालवला , जे मुख्य मंदिराजवळ आहे.

भंडारा यात्रा फाल्गुण वद्य एकादशीला जागर व द्वादशीला महाप्रसाद असतो. लाखो लोक याचा लाभ घेतात. त्रयोदशीला पालखी, घोडा यांसह मिरवणूक मरगुबाई मंदिरात जावून, गावभर फिरून, विहीरीवरून मंदिरात येते. यावेळी भक्तांना प्रत्येक घरातून आंबील, सरबत, फराळ दिला जातो. ढोलांच्या गजरात, गगनभेदी आवाजाने, भंडा-याच्या उधळण्याने एका आगळ्या वेगळ्या मांगल्याची प्रचिती येते. सकाळी 9 ते दुपारी 4 वाजेपर्यंत हा कार्यक्रम चालतो. लागलीचं अमावस्या आलेली असते. नंतर गुढी पाडवा. या दिवशी बक-यांच्या कळपात लाख घालण्याचा कार्यक्रम केला जातो.

कार्तिक शुध्द प्रतिपदा- दिपावली पाडवा – मरगुबाई मंदिराजवळ बक-यांची लेंडी म्हणजे लक्ष्मी समजून त्यांची रास करून पुजा केली जाते. यावेऴी दूध ऊतू घालविणेचा कार्यक्रम केला जातो. बक-यांना ओवाळून, पूजा करून नंतर बकरी बुजविण्याचा ( पळविण्याचा ) कार्यक्रम झाल्यावर महाप्रसाद होतो. इतर ठिकाणी असणा-या मामांच्या सर्व बक-यात असाचं कार्यक्रम केला जातो.

देह ठेवताना मामांनी आपण प्रकाशरूप म्हणजे ब्रत्द्मरूप झाल्याचा प्रत्यक्ष प्रत्यय, मरगुबाईचे मंदिरात त्यावेळी तेथे उपस्थित असलेल्या भक्तांना दिला.
