On my way to Thiruvananthapuram, I decided to stop here for lunch, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The food was absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety of fish dishes that are a must-try for any seafood enthusiast. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a memorable dining experience. If you're passing by, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

I had palkappa and prawns pepper roast yesterday and it was heaven. The quantity is bit too much for me as i struggled to finish the meal. Palkappa was fabulous. Just the prawns were little too watery but very tasty. Loved it!!! Must try guys

Choondakkarans is a hidden gem for seafood lovers! I recently had a phenomenal dining experience there and can't wait to share it.

The star of the show was definitely the curries. Their thenga manga curry was an explosion of flavor. The creamy coconut base perfectly balanced the tanginess of the mango, creating a delightful sauce for the perfectly cooked seafood. Equally impressive was the meen kallil chuttath. The fish fry was beautifully crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. The accompanying masala was a revelation - complex, flavorful, and unlike any I've tasted before.

But Choondakkarans doesn't stop at just the mains. Their palkappa was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Light, fluffy, and with a hint of sweetness, it was the ideal way to cleanse the palate after the savory curries.

Special mention must be made of their thoughtful service towards older guests. My elderly parents were treated with the utmost respect and care.

One of the best seafood restaurant near adoor. Please don't mis it. We ordered meals. Their meals includes fish curry, fry and payasam. Price is so reasonable compared to others. Parking is also available. Their hospitality is outstanding. We ordered three meals. Total amount for three meals and one sardine fry(mathi) was Rs 390 only.

We had lunch with chatti chor, meen Tava fry, squid, crab... we had it all and everything was awesome.

They serve tasty sea food items. I had dinner with my family and all were satisfied. Especially 'pal kappa', 'Fish curry' and 'fish thava fry' are must try items😋. Even though the occupancy is less, but well maintained. Surely I will suggest this restaurant to people who love sea food👍🏻

Love the variety and taste. The service is great. The fish is always fresh. Always a visitor and will be a visitor. Love the paalkaapa and poomeen curry . The shop is open and it's difficult to eat at noon.. because of the heat.
