Fisherman cafe

Comfy place, friendly and attentive staff. We went there at least three times while in Marari beach.
The porridge with pomegranate was cute and tasty, a lot for a 150cm person though 😅
Creamy seafood pasta was superb, and the prawns curry amazing!

I asked them to add peanut butter to my chocolate shake! Delicious, thick and not so sugary, perfect 🤩

First time in Fisherman Cafe and first best restaurant experience in the beginning of 2024. It’s the cutest little spot built with bamboo in the Alley of the Sea that I have never seen before, filled with amazing food and fun. The banana leaf and ginger-garlic fish—it was fire! Now there is an ocean in my mouth just from writing about it. The ambience is very welcoming and charming. And the music they performed uplifted us. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. The service we received was amazing, and we will definitely be back again. NB: The fishermen have the best treasures.

Very nice place with a very friendly, young staff. We had twice dinner there, as family with Kids. Waiting time could be shorter, but the food is worth the time. Excellent Mango Fish Curry and banana leaf fish (pollichathu).

Fisherman cafe is such a lovely place. People are so friendly and welcoming! Its nice decorated & clean. You have to be patient, because the cook everything fresh, so it takes a while, BUT, it’s so yummy, tasty, delicious!

I had a wonderful time at the fishermans cafe. The small bamboo beach house is very lovingly decorated and it is the prettiest restaurant in marari. You can evan learn how to create the beautiful bamboo decorations yourself. Besides the delicious food, there is a nice atmosphere from the people who created this lovely place.

Great food and super friendly service, we loved to stop by every noon for lunch. However, as it is a minute away from the beach, inbetween the palm trees, it may be a little hard to find. Best to ask for it at the beach!

We came here as a large group (8 people) for a late dinner and had an amazing time! Everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the penne arrabbiata, salt & pepper calamari, veg sandwich, chicken 65, and dal thadka. We loved Fisherman’s Cafe that we came back for a late lunch the following day. Staff is also very friendly and kind. Definitely worth checking out while near Marari Beach!

Very friendly atmosphere with nice music and light. Food was very good. I tried veg sandwich and fish with there on masala (garlic ginger). The fish was so fresh and tasty. They have option to serve it with a portion of rice or French fries. We asked for rice Bt they gave French fries Bt they didn't replaced it Bt gave us rice. Must try the fish. They are soooo GOOD.

What a beautiful cafe/restaurant! Delicious food, marvelous ambiente, and super friendly people. I'm just sorry that I found that place just the last evening of my stay here. VERY recommendable!

We visited this lovely little restaurant at the Marari beach for some lunch and we ended up staying there for three hours as it was so lovely. We tried the pollichathu fish plus few other dishes and everything was delicious. The people that are running the place were very attentive and were handling food in a very hygienic way - overall they seemed very invested to their restaurant and the clients. The atmosphere was very lovely as well. We were very impressed and it was one of our best outings during our trip to India. They also have live music some nights but unfortunately we missed that!

We visited twice during our stay on Marari Beach and had a good meal both times. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and cool. There is a bit of a wait for food but that's not a problem as long as you get into the relaxed vibe. Definitely the best restaurant on the beach, highly recommended.

An amazing café and restaurant you have to go to!
The atmosphere is amazing, fairy lights, good music, your feet in the sand and you just have to enjoy their delicious food. Their seafood and fish dishes were just incredible. I am french and I live in London so do believe me!
They were also really helpful and gave us tips on things to do around. I feel like I have friends in Kerala now. Thank you so much you beautiful souls and I hope to see you again soon!

Absolutely fantastic meal. This place is relatively new, so while they’re still working a few things out, we really couldn’t have had a better time! The food was delicious, the vibe was lovely, and the location ideal for dinner after watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend the Pollichathu and pineapple/coconut pancakes!

Had lunch yesterday in this atmospheric beach style restaurant. Apparently owned and operated by several friends whose families have always lived in on Marari beach. We asked for fish and were shown a red snapper and had it cooked traditionally in banana leaf. It came with Lemmon rice and vegetables. Best meal we have had in our last 3 weeks in south India. Highly recommended!

Service was a bit slow but it was OK because the atmosphere is good. They have a band that comes around and there are friendly stray puppies in the area. Great place.

Good food and really cozy atmosphere in the beach hut. Especially with the cute puppies lying around and reggae music playing. There are good and enough options on the menu but the staff are the best part in this cafe - really friendly, charming and helpful. (:
