Bindu's Café

This is a perfect cozy cafe on the cliff with an amazing sea view! You get an amazing view of the sunset while enjoying your food.. Very pocket friendly. Do try their hot mocha! The best hot coffee I have had in my entire life !!!! A must visit !! 10/10 from me :)

Totally worth it.

As an ex barista in Melbourne with a caffeine addiction, I am one of those insufferable coffee snobs. With that in mind, Bindu’s produced several lattes over the past few days which would not be out of place in some of the top cafes in Australia. Would highly recommend if you are a latte / flat white drinker. The view is also exceptional, with sweeping cliff top views you could (and I did) sit there for hours mesmerised by the rolling waves.

Bindu, is an amazing little cafe facing the Black Sand Varkala beach! We ordered Tsunami Frappe, Mocha Frappe, Americano Pineapple juice, Carrot Cake and Mushroom cheese toast. All of them were great.
What made the taste and experience special was the spectacular sunset view from this cafe!
Must visit when in North Cliff, Varkala :)

Coffee lovers out there shouldn’t miss this one.
Location is magnificent and provides a sense of calmness. You wouldn’t wish to get up from your seat.

I spent every morning of my trip at Bindu's cafe with a delicious coconut milk cappuccino and the best view from North Cliff and it was magical!
A nice mix of travelers and locals meet and socialise there so you get to meet a lot of cool people or just enjoy peaceful spot to chill & read/journal.
It's also the only place on the cliff that makes real, Italian coffee, has freshly baked cake each morning & delicious granola bowls full of fruits, all very reasonably priced.
It's also the spot where everyone meets to watch the sunset in the evening with good vibes...a must visit if you go to the North Cliff!

Bindu’s is quite simply THE PLACE for amazing coffees and espresso drinks and incredible homemade cakes made by Bindu herself. My wife and I spend a lot of time in Varkala, and this is our daily morning stop. The view is the best on the cliff. Whether watching the surfers in the waves of Black Beach, or the sunset in the evening after a beach stroll. This is where you want to be.

No amount of words can describe the view of Sunset. Beverage is tasty.

It is my favourite breakfast place at Varkala cliffs, with the best coffee I had on all my 9 India journeys. I loved the musli and cranola breakfast, her grate variety in lovely juices and the beautiful view. All is freshly prepared, the service is great and Bindu is such a lovely person. I am looking forward to come back one day! Thank you Bindu for many peaceful hours I had at your place. 🙏❤☀🌊🌴

Very unexpectedly good cafe. The drinks are great - very rich and thick and good quality ingredients and feels fresh too. Chococino was amazing and cold. The views are outstanding - probably the best in the cliff and the staff is very shy and kind. Open kitchen seemed extremely clean. Digital payment accepted though the network is not always great. We went there at least 3 times.

This place is just wonderful!! The owner is a lovely and friendly person who cares about their customers.

We went there several times during our stay in Varkala and everything we ordered was excellent. Delicious coffees, nice fruit juices, and great smoothies. You can have everything with coconut milk which makes it a perfect place for vegans too!

One of my favourite cafes in Varkala. Coffee is top-notch! Very tasty, probably the best I've tried in India.

Cappuccino comes in huuuge size, so be prepared. Mocha is delicious. Cortado is a perfect balance of milk and coffee in a smaller cup.

Every day freshly made cakes - coconut-banana, carrot, chocolate. Carrot cake is for now my favourite.

Paired with great view of the ocean and a friendly atmosphere, it's definitely a great place to chill, chat, or even do some work (WiFi available). I'm definitely coming back here when I'm in Varkala, love the place😊💗

I wish google allows to give additional star for this place. The best coffee, latte and tea one can have. 3 days of vacay and when we were craving for a good coffee that could revive our taste buds, Bindu’s cafe came to the rescue. The cafe sits right in front of the sea view and having coffee with such a view is total bliss.

Initially I was skeptical because of the mixed reviews.
But once I realized that Bindu is literally one lady team making all the drinks along with her son. I grew alot more respect for her and the business.
Her drinks are definitely superior to any cafe on the cliff.
If you respect her space especially her cliff view seating and place your order right away, she will give you the best coffee experience right by the cliffs.

I had visited this cafe few times on visit to Varkala. It is not a big cafe but the vibe and the open space view is amazing, especially around golden hour.
You can get a good view of the suset from this place.
The place is mostly crowded as it open space and most people like its vibe. They also provide a variety of options to try. Really liked all the options I tried. A must try if you are visiting Varkala.

Just reach the location. Absorb all of the scenic beauty around you. When you're done, go inside and take a glance at the menu card. Now biting down your teeth to control that dropped jaw of yours, take a look at that sleek an regal coffee machine that you might've seen at a Starbucks but has no good reason to be mounted on the wall of a small coffee shop in Varkala. Now you know Bindu Chechi doesn't play around when it comes to her art. Ex-Barista at a 5 star hotel in Varkala, now a local Goddess for way too many people here. Choose a good looking drink and Chechi will explain and customize it for you. While you wait, go out and talk to the people. It's the congregation point for all the best minds of Varkala right now. In a few minutes you'll have a tasty beverage in your hand, you'll be in good company, maybe some good music, and you will be a bit closer to the peace you seek.

Everything at this place was worth it. As coffee lovers, we were so happy to find truly delicious coffee with coconut milk (yum-yum), the smoothies were fantastic, and the juices were made from the freshest ingredients (the ginger turmeric one saved me from a cold). Bindu's easy-goingness as well as the place being perfect to watch the sunset wrapped it all up for us.
We are looking forward to visiting soon again :)
