While I was in Varkala I went to this restaurant several times. Sometime for lunch and some for dinner. Little bit away from main Varkala beach restaurants. It provides isolated space away from hustle and bustle of north cliff. You can enjoy good food and drinks while enjoying its on view and live music (probably in evening ). Though I don’t have the photos but foods are good. Five star to the staffs as well.

The location has an amazing atmosphere and a great view of the sea.
In terms of dishes, you can get. A variety of fresh sea food, drinks, and a large selection of north and south cuisine. Bidan, the head chef, was very approachable and made certain that all of our taste buds were satisfied. Don't miss out on Bidan's exclusive sunrise drink.

This restaurant with beach view is so amazing. Food is so delicious and mouth - watering. Had my breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two days here and is very happy with the service. Everything ordered was up to the mark and was in good quantity. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. If in Varkala, definitely a place to visit.

Food with such a view is a jackpot. Everything that I ate here was mouth-watering. I tried different sea food and Indian food. Everything was very tasty. I will definitely suggest you to visit here and enjoy the nature and food together.

It's one of the best place to have a dinner at pleasant and peaceful ambience. I booked a candle light dinner, they decorated it well and presented the place to have a perfect Seaview from the balcony. It was mesmerizing and we spent our anniversary celebration amazingly. Food was really tasty and delicious. We ordered chocolate cake and it was surprisingly the best we ever had. Especially, the korean chicken was top notch.
Totally, the food and the ambience is a perfect place for family, couples and friends.

One of the best meals we had in Varkala. We had come here for a birthday dinner. The seafood was excellent and chicken curry with paratha was the best we had. The staff was great and even added a complimentary dessert for the birthday celebration. Must visit!

Planned a candle light dinner here for my wife's birthday and it truly was a magical experience for us. The location and the setup was something we were really really happy and excited about :) food was soooooo yummy.. we had tiger prawns from fresh catch of the day n the chef had cooked it soooo well, it was sooooo flavourful n sooo delicious. Wonderful service. Everything was so good here. We would definitely come back. Absolutely worth the money as well

I had heard that The Bait & Hook had one of the best cuisines in Varkala. I'm glad I got to experience it on my own. The food is served fresh & is delicious. They have a wide variety of options to choose from. Great service & presentation too. You can either eat at the restaurant which is beach facing (who wouldn't want that ) & enjoy your meal as well as the view. Or you could even prefer room service when you prefer to eat-in. The staff is professional & welcoming. You could eat here even if you don't stay at their property. I think it's a must visit. Please do try once, you won't regret it.

When the stove gets fired up here you can enjoy the most exquisite food from a variety of fresh seafood and eclectic cuisines. The location is the treat :) look forward to the misty morning stew and appums while hearing the waves roll in
