We had our family vacation here and it was a wonderful stay. The staff was very attentive and their hospitality was top tier. The rooms also were very cleans along with the bathrooms. The food that was on their menu was also very good! The property also has a natural pool right alongside a waterfall which was very cool. It’s a very relaxing place to stay at overall!

Great place and great location. Beautiful clean well furnished luxurious rooms. Very large rooms and bathrooms which is almost double the size of any large hotel rooms.... Good food...freshly prepared ....Good cooperative staff....was a very good experience overall...the jeep ride with little offroading is memorable...

Away from the hustle bustle this spot is where you want to either get away and be by yourself or be in the company of friends and family. We were a group of 11 adults and each one of us had nothing less than exceptional experience. The helpful staff was there to cater to our every need. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Each room had its own special view. The food that was offered was delicious with both South Indian and North Indian flavors The place is good for easy hikes and slow romantic strolls. We had a wonderful and refreshing stay at Thottam Farmstay last weekend. After a lot of research, we found this farm stay in Make My Trip and it was a great holiday for us. I travelled with my family and reached Kuttikanam around 3 pm after visiting Ammachikotaram then we parked our car in Agincort near Kuttikanam and Farmstay people arranged a 4X4 jeep from Agincort to the property.

The farm stay was located inside the tea plantation and the road from Kattapana Kuttikanam highway to the resort was very bumpy and only the 4-wheel drive vehicle could make it. So before booking the farm stay consider this especially if you are travelling with old parents.

We selected old heritage Tharavadu Veedu for our 2-night stay. It was mind blowing and we felt like we were staying in 100 years old Tharavadu. Of course, there are some negatives also, especially like insects and leaches. But if you want to feel the beauty, silence and fragrance of nature, you don't need to worry about this.

There was a water stream and pond near old Tharavadu Veedu and the kids were very happy to enjoy playing around the stream.

Hospitality and service were excellent. Thanks to Mr. Shameer and his crews.
The food was delicious and no complaints, especially the dinner food. They provided complimentary breakfast and evening tea together with pazhampori.

Need to consider before booking:
Farmstay is located around 4 km from Kuttikanam and around 2 km near to the resort only a 4-wheel drive jeep can reach.

Our stay at Thottam Farm Stay was an absolute delight! The tranquility of nature, combined with the attentive care of the staff, made for a truly peaceful and relaxing experience.

The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed leisurely walks through the lush surroundings and the serene moments spent on the porch, taking in the beauty of nature.

A highlight of our experience was the delicious and tasteful food served. The culinary offerings were excellent, adding to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

While our time at Thottam was overwhelmingly positive, we would like to suggest a minor improvement. The blankets in our room seemed a bit worn, and replacing them would certainly enhance the overall experience.

In summary, Thottam Farm Stay is a slice of heaven, providing an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by the beauty of nature. Our stay felt like a journey back to our roots, and we look forward to visiting again. Kudos to the Thottam team for creating such a wonderful haven!

Overall, I had a great experience with the place- Thottam farm stay.
staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect place to be with family, friends and to celebrate birthday parties as such.

Gorgeous building, and it comes in two types as heritage cottage and bungalow.
The property gives you the private space , where you can walk around , spend time in their fishing pond, and the serenity’s around.
They also have an small waterbeds which makes an jungle pool where it’s private and you can spend time as per your needs.
Amazing food,the staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

Sooo... We went here as a group consisting of 7 friends!!
We parked our cars at Ajin Court and a Jeep came to pick us up from there... To the Thottam Farmstay as it's an off road and our vehicles can't travel through that.
The hospitality and service of this place!! It's simply awesome!
We'd love to thank Shameer Chettan and his crew for everything and made us super comfortable and no matter what time of the evening it was, they adhered to all our requests!!! Now that's awesome!!

Upon arriving, honestly, the view is beautiful!! We stayed at the old property near the water area. Wooden finished rooms that were clean, neat and simply elegant but felt a bit congested.
Lots of space around the house to walk around and we all engaged in a bit of football and even volleyball!!
Went down to the water stream and had total fun in it!!
Food was delicious but expensive! I'll be honest about it.
The complimentary evening tea, coffee, snacks by the water stream was super!!

They have another property above.. another 100 meters by the jeep above and that's a like Mansion with 5 huge modern rooms with beautiful view!! (Photos attached!)

5/5 for everything, from stay to location to hospitality.

But below are the cons:
The only thing that were totally let downs for us was the rates of the food and there are leeches (WATCH OUT!!) everywhere!!

This place is a gem. We went there as a group of moms with young children, and everything was taken care of. The rooms were so airy and spacious. The food was amazing, and we felt we were staying at a close friend's place. The hosts were available all the time and the staff made everything easier and available on time. There is a beautiful stream in the property. The view in front of the property is scenic and we are waiting to go back again!

We had a lovely time at Thottam. An adventurous jeep ride to the property followed by a dip in the stream that flows through the estate and the yummy food we got to indulge in made the trip even more memorable and fun. The staff were very hospitable and pleasant and helped us with everything we needed. Be sure to carry a pair of shoes with you, cause this is a great property to explore and go on long walks!

Very cute and blissfully quiet property in the middle of the tea fields. Animal sounds all around, lots of birds to see and very helpful and friendly staff. Can highly recommend this place as a get away from the city! Well kept rooms are spacious and clean. The view is simply amazing! Thank you to Shmeer for a peaceful and relaxing stay and for organizing a fantastic trip to a nearby wildlife reserve with a talented and knowledgable guide!

A beautiful 5 bedroom bungalow set in a picturesque location. All the rooms are very spacious and aesthetically designed. Every room has a breathtaking view of the plantations. The living spaces are also very spacious specially if you have kids with you. I travelled with a group of moms and kids and we had a topnotch experience. The hosts Rithu and Jithu were there with us throughout and it felt like they were part of our group. The meals that were served filled not just our tummies but also our hearts. Everything was yummy and there was a good variety of dishes that were served. The staff were also very courteous, proactive and catered to all our needs. The property has a fishing pond, a beautiful stream in which you can have a bath, lots of birds and it's perfect for short treks. Loved everything about the place❤

After a tiring wedding week, we found our peace here at Thottam. We loved the stay, the friendly staffs, the delicious food, and an awesome ambience which can connect you to the mother nature while you’re there. I highly recommend Thottam and do get a Chai and Pazhampori from the tea shop beside the river stream. Special thanks to Jithu chettai for giving us an amazing evening.

Amazing out of the world experience in pristine rain forest like atmosphere. The place is situated in an active plantation but the feeling you get while staying is like it's your own place. Good is amazing and made individually based on our choice. The place is isolated and you might get the feeling of loneliness but it's also the beauty of this place. We spent time during the monsoon and that was a different kind of experience. Come prepared for an one of a kind photo shoot ready experience.

I had some doubts when I booked the place. But actual experience was excellent. Very serene atmosphere. We enjoyed playing in the stream with my grand daughter. Quality and taste of food was very good. Rate quite reasonable, value for money. Full marks.
