Best experience and memories we had in iceland! Sophia is our guide of the tour who is super nice and friendly. She remembers the names and characters of each horse and that’s the moment you know that the horses with you today are in really good care.
This tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Sophia let us start with a gentle walking and also let us try a more advanced pace when we feel comfortable and get more confident. The glacier view on the way is gorgeous and fantastic. Sophia also told us the story and history of the land hundreds years ago.
I’m obsessed with the tour and feel grateful and lucky to have Sophia introduced the beauty of the land and the Icelandic horses. Highly recommend the tour! This will be a must-do on our list if we visit Iceland again. Email them and sign up the tour today;) 🐴🤎

We absolutely loved our tour with Celine! She was kind and knowledgeable and had the horses ready when we arrived. We knew it might rain a little during our ride, and we were able to continue on since it was just a light drizzle. I would definitely suggest Glacier Horses. Booking: We didn’t get a confirmation for our tour after we had paid, so just make sure you read the website and all of the instructions to know what to bring and prepare for on the day of.

We've had a really great trip! Riding an icelandic horse in Iceland was on my "wish list" for a long time already. After looking in to some providers, we booked over here. It was totally the right choice!
Horses looked happy and healthy. I found it super positive to notice that our guide had eye for the wel-being of the horses, also during the trip.
My boyfriend, who has zero riding experience, got good instructions before and during the trip. So he also enjoyed it very much (his own words).
Everything is more beautiful from the back of a horse, especially when the view is a glacier:)

Such a great experience, highly recommend. The horses are very well trained and felt very comfortable and safe. The tour was beautiful, seeing a glacier and riding around the landscape. The guides are so friendly and attentive. Again, highly recommend!

What an experience! Once in a lifetime for sure! Our guide was sweet and made sure that we all felt comfortable before departing and we even got to do the Icelandic horses’ special gait - tolting! The view was unbeatable and the weather was just perfect on the day we visited. It was a small group of five which made it so much more enjoyable. We much prefer smaller groups, making it more personable and intimate. Being able to spend time with Icelandic horses was also a dream. The whole experience was simply out of this world!

We had a wonderful, very spontaneous tour with Sophia. Everything was extraordinary great! The horses were picked perfectly and very well trained. The view and the tour itself are amazing and unique. You get there only by horse. So thank you very much Sophia for this experience and I'm sure we will be back!

Wonderful experience! The owners Hilmar and Sophia are awesome. Hilmar was prompt and responsive to our emails. Sophia is a wonderful tour guide and very kind. It was my first time riding a horse and it was a great experience. One of the highlights of our trip.
We will definitely recommend it and visit again next time we are in Iceland!

Iceland is full of amazing places to see and things to do, and riding an Icelandic horse should absolutely be on your list. My ride at Glacier Horses was absolutely amazing. My guide was very experienced and knowledgeable about both the horses and the area, and was able to adjust to my riding ability and give me great riding tips, and taught me how to tölt! Horses were super friendly and a smooth ride. Go check them out, and stop by their food truck Glacier Goodies nearby!

Our guide, Ronja was delightful! She coached us on how to handle our horses and then took us out on the trail and kept us moving at a comfortable pace. She also took pictures of us with our phones and pointed out various points of interest. The horses were well trained and mild mannered. We had a wonderful time!

Highly recommended tour! We were just 4 people, a very cosy experience. Marla, our guide was very pleasant, patient and calm both with us and the horses :-) We had 0 prior experience, but we felt safe throughout. The horses are very well trained and taken care of and the valley we toured around was super nice. It is spring time so can't get too close to the glacier but still we got good views of it!

Thank you so much for this amazing riding tour! The ponies were so nice with the kids and Sophia was a great guide. We learned a lot about iceland horses and had loads of fun. We will never forget this marvelous adventure!

I did a horse riding tour with my girlfriend in May, we had an amazing experience ! We were beginner and a bit anxious about how to ride a horse, but our guide Sophia made everything to make us feel confident and secure. She is a really nice guide and her horses are super friendly. Landscapes are amazing.
I totally recommend doing a tour with glacier horses !

This is off the beaten path but probably one of the best in Iceland. Steffi - our guide, took time to get us paired with right horses and took us on a really nice trail close to glacier! One of the amazing riding experiences.

My first time on horseback and it could not have been any better. The staff was very friendly and the horses very kind. We were riding through a wonderful landscape, where some scenes of Games of Thrones had been filmed! Thank you for this awesome experience!

Sophia was wonderful. It really felt like rather then being on a tour that we were being invited by a friend to enjoy a nice ride in the Icelandic mountain side with the beautiful views of the glaciers the whole way. The horses were very sweet and well trained for all experience levels. I really don’t have anything negative to say about this experience it was great!
