Eyjatours - Puffin Tours in Iceland

I had wonderful time with Eyjatours on the beautiful Vestmannaeyjar.
Our truly knowledgeable guide Ebbi did an amazing job at highlighting the culture and seriously stunning scenery of this island.

The tour took us through some jaw-dropping landscapes – dramatic cliffs, lush hills, and breathtaking coastlines. He was great at explaining the unique history and geology of the place, making it all a super interesting experience.

During the tour, Ebbi introduced us to some local traditions. Including the impressive Sprangan.
Also we were lucky to witness the release of a puffling into the ocean, which they do at the end of puffling season. It was a heartwarming experience and definitely the highlight of our trip.

In a nutshell, if you're ever in Iceland I recommend to explore Westman Island. And I especially recommend Eyjatours, It's not your average tour – it's an epic journey through the island's natural wonders and culture that everyone will appreciate!

What a wonderful way to spend the day in Vestmannaeyjar! Our guide Ebbi had a great sense of humour, local tidbits and knowledge of the history of the town and of course the infamous eruption. Totally worth the tour price and no need to take your car on the ferry, which was a great call in the end. We feel we got to see the best of the island in a relatively short amount of time, we would highly recommend this tour, thank you!

I wish I could give this tour 6 stars, it was truly fabulous! Driver/guide was the real deal, knowledgeable and engaging with a wonderful sense of humor. When we checked in, he let us know right away that we could cancel because of the weather, but we went ahead anyway....with no regrets. Rain or shine, you can't go wrong with the company. Perfect for a cruise stop, or anyone wanting to be enriched by the wonders of this island.

Ebbi is just beyond brilliant and passionate about the island that he calls home. He not runs the tour (and the company), but is also converting a previously underutilized mock-up Viking stone house into an educational venue aimed to help children better understand the local history. The puffin and volcano tour is also practical for solo travelers because that hike wouldn't be too easy in that wind. Highly recommend and do pick up the Gott restaurant coupon at the harborside office!

Loved this tour! The island while small, is rich in history and it's great to learn about it from a local. Our guide Ebbi is knowledgeable and humorous. He took very nice shots of us. He brought us to scenic points and gave us tips about the best place to view puffins. Also, we had a very pleasant surprise at the end of the tour. Only sad thing is that the belugas had not arrived yet (we were 9 days too early).

We would highly recommend this tour to visitors of the island. Ebbi, with over 1000 years of family heritage on the island hosts an incredible tour. Entertaining and knowledgeable, he makes the experience relevant for all ages. We are so glad we did this tour and can’t thank Ebbi enough for his great hospitality.

What an amazing tour! The whole thing was fantastic, as was our guide. If anything I'd have liked it to have been maybe a bit longer so I could take more photos at certain spots, but I really can't complain as I got to see so many wonderful things. One of our highlights visiting Iceland! Our guide Ebbi was a fountain of information and we enjoyed it all so much.

Two hour bus tour conducted by owner was filled with informative stops reflecting island culture and history. The tour guide obviously loves his heritage and shares it enthusiastically. Getting off the bus frequently kept us involved and my 81 year old body kept up with the pace! Thanks for an excellent experience.

I’m not into tours but after my father fell during a hike and ended up with a severe laceration we needed a down day. We decided to try out Westman Island and take an easy tour to see some Puffins. The tour was excellent. Just long enough to be worth the money and short enough to explore the town before catching the ferry back to mainland. Saw plenty of Puffins and got to visit the sanctuary where we were up close and personal with more Puffins. The guide is cool and obviously knows everything about the island.

Wonderful tour and guide. Glad we spent the money and saved our legs from all the climbing we otherwise would have done. Ebbi is very knowledgeable and friendly!! He is personally fixing up the old HERJÓLFSTOWN cabins.

Definitely a highlight of our trip so far. Really enjoyed learning about the history, culture, and geology of the island, as well as seeing Puffins and Sheep. Tour and stops are well thought out and spaced so you are never on the bus too long, and when you are the excellent commentary keeps you entertained. Bus is a nice size - faster to load/unload than some of the larger ones we saw, and comfortable seats with enough legroom. Highly recommend.

This tour is truly a hidden gem. We were a bit skeptical due to the lack of reviews but honestly found this to be the highlight of our time in Iceland. Every tour is guided by the founder Ebbi, who takes you on a historical, cultural, and geologic tour of the entire island.

Awesome tour! Ebbi is super knowledgeable and absolutely loves the island. He’s very funny and brings you to some wonderful locations!

Excellent tour. Ebbi, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and took us to sites on the island that would be difficult if not impossible to access by private car. Humorous and informative, one of the better tours I’ve ever taken.

This was such a great experience for our family. It was nice introduction to the island and provided interesting context and stories. It was also nice to see the interesting vistas on the island (a few of which we returned to later in the day). We would highly recommend this tour. Ebbi is an excellent guide!

Great and simple tour. Friendly staff and enthusiastic staff and easy to find location. We parked our cars at the ferry on mainland and then took ferry as foot passengers.

If you love tours or want something easier for the day, taking the ferry to this tour is well worth the trip.
