Very nice and one of the best camping site with the camping card, with great landscape. Cool hot tubs nearby!

Clean kitchen, amazing view from warm kitchen windows (for auroras at night and whales at day), plenty of space, super friendly and helpful caretaker.

In the village there is are 3 hot tubs with different temperatures. Very nice, we saw also a seal while we were bathing. The campsite itself has some hills around the guesthouse to block the wind. Under the guesthouse there is a cosy room with showers, toilets and a washmachine with a tumble dryer. There is no kitchen which you can use.

Nice place! 2 showers and 2 wc's but we were almost alone there, so fair enough! Beautiful views, quiet small village!

I don’t know why this place only has 3.9 stars, because it was one of our favorite campsites! The hot pots in town were wonderful (it was empty at 3 am) and the facilities at the campsite were great. Bathrooms, hot water, showers, laundry (400ISK each), and a sheltered area for cooking. We would definitely go again and I’m sad we did not get to stay long!

We were planning to stay in Reykhólar but after reading some of the reviews, we decided to stay at the Drangsnes campsite instead. The campsite is located at the top of the hill - you will pass an N1 gas pump and mini store on the left and will soon see a campsite sign. We made the mistake of turning left and was disappointed to only see a blue container for WC. We drove back out and realized the campsite sign pointed in both directions, so we drove across the street to the other side with the yellow building and soccer field. Phew! There was a heated room that contained showers (no additional fee and had soap!), toilets, W/D machines (for additional fee), and eating area. It was slightly awkward to use the bathroom while others were sitting in the room but otherwise fine. The showers had a curtain and door and there were 2 shower heads per stall. The cooking area was outside (covered) but the nice gentleman managing the facility said we were welcome to cook inside the room if it was too cold/windy. Lots of space, grass and gravel, and there was RV hook up as well. They accepted Camping Card.

We checked out the community hot pots as well - 3 hot tubs with different temps (green was the coldest one of the 3, middle one felt the hottest). Super relaxing! But people, please keep in mind there’s no chlorine in the water, so PLEASE shower thoroughly and don’t go in if you know you have anything contagious. We were shocked a few people wanted to bypass the shower or stopped by just to touch the water with their dirty hands. The showers are free and only 30 seconds away - use them! Don’t ruin something so beautiful.

An okay camping ground (not too scenic), but there's a heated common area with washing machine and dryer, four showers WITH HOT WATER and bathrooms. Price was 1350ISK per person, they don't charge extra for cars.

The hot pots are fairly close and the best thing about coming here!

Great view of the harbour. Good spot for northern lights depending on the forecast. The clean indoor space has two showers, 2 toilets and two kitchen sinks, all included with hot water and an area to warm up/change table. We liked the three hotpots down the road (donation based).

Relatively low price (1330kr) and all the needed facilities (toilet, dining and shower) included though it all is in just one room, which shocked me at first. But it tuned out to be the essential minimum if comfort for a one night stay. Good point to start or finish the journey to the fjords.

Site has two halves: we missed the "main" one with the large yellow building that houses the kitchen, showers and laundry and so hunted for a flattish spot in the adjacent fields. But wherever you pitch it's great. Very friendly gentleman came late after we struck camp to swipe our camping card. Sorry I forget his name 🙄

Nice small village. Clean hot pot with stunning view into the sea. Apparently some have already seen whales from the pool.

Recien reformado, las duchas y lavadoras estan en frente, se está muy tranquilo ya que no se llena mucho.Tiene todos los servicios y la cocina es grande y muy bien equipada.

Wir waren für eine Nacht dort. Camping Card wird akzeptiert. Für uns war das der bisher geräumigste Aufenthaltsraum mit der besten Küchenausstattung und großem Aussichtsfenster. Besitzer war sehr freundlich. Dusche und Waschmaschine haben wir nicht benötigt. Schöne Hot Pots nicht weit entfernt mit Umkleide und Dusche.
