Hotel Maggiore Bologna

The hotel was absolutely amazing! We stayed there for 4 nights and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They were present 24/7 and were there when we needed them. It took about 20-25 minutes on the bus to go to the train station depending on traffic but the bus stop was about 5 minute walking distance. The cleaning staff were also very nice and would clean our room each day. Absolutely loved our stay and would 100% recommend this place!

This place was fine. Easily accessible via bus from all over town. There’s supermarkets close by and we also used the bikes that are available to borrow which were a great time. Rooms are lovely, clean, modern, simple and the staff very attentive to our needs. We chose here because it was affordable.

We really loved the location. It's 15min away from the city center and also 15-20min away from the airport by bus. The staff was great, very helpful and attentive. The room was more than perfect and the breakfast was delicious!

Exceptionally clean and very welcoming. The room was superbly convenient, the air conditioning system worked well. They cleaned and changed the bedding and towels daily. It is a 40-minute walk away from the center but if you don’t feel like walking, you can take one of the many busses which stop just a few minutes away.

The wifi signal was poor and I ended up using my mobile data, this would only concern non-European citizens.

Great hotel in Bologna. About a half hour's walk to the historic center, or you can take the bus right outside the hotel. Free parking. Good breakfast.

Staying at Hotel Maggiore Bologna was an absolute delight. The warmth and friendliness of the staff were remarkable, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The impeccable cleanliness throughout the premises was truly impressive, making me feel comfortable and at ease.

The presence of an air conditioner and a small refrigerator in the room added a touch of convenience that enhanced my stay. The combination of comfort and functionality in the amenities truly made a difference. The location of the hotel is both convenient and strategic, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy the surroundings.

Reflecting on my experience, I can confidently say that if I were to return to Bologna, Hotel Maggiore would be my top choice without hesitation. The overall experience, from the attentive staff to the well-maintained facilities, has left a positive and lasting impression.

This property was great. Not close to the centre of the city but a short bus ride (#13 bus) got us there quick. You can buy bus tickets at the front desk, or on the bus directly. The staff treated us great! The rooms are very spacious, very well kept, and super clean. A bit on the older side but still nice and big. No pool. No balcony. They brought us a baby crib with extra towels for the children which was very nice. No breakfast offered but there is a mall close by (near the bus stop) with a GREAT cafe to eat at. The mall also has a grocery store. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We would return here in the future. kid/family friendly resort.

Room was CLEAN. Shower was refreshing. Electric blinds were AMAZING. Air conditioning was COLD 🙌🧊 Breakfast buffet was full of variety and delicious. Service throughout was top-notch. I would not hesitate to stay again at Maggiore and I recommend it to anyone coming to Bologna

The hotel has a parking and can be accessed by bus (there are many bus stops nearby -within 5 min walking distance. Please note that the evening return busses could be quite crowded).
The hotel is off a main street, but the noise is not noticeable, except for the very few minutes in case of an emergency ambulance rushing towards the nearby hospital (happened twice for 3 nights).
They can offer gluten free breakfast upon request as well.

Very nice and modern hotel. The staff is friendly and speaks English very well. One of the staff members even knew Romanian. The room was cleaned every day, the room was big enough for 3 people, the bathroom was very spacious and the hotel was amazing overall. A bit far from the city center, but manageable with the bus. The photos need to be updated cause the hotel doesn’t look irl as it does in these old pictures

Nice hotel. I've spent only one night and it was ok. Room was clean. The receptionist is super nice and helpful and friendly :)
It's a bit far from the centre, but it depends on the plans you have in Bologna and you're heading to:) and there are buses which take you directly to the hotel.

Rooms were very beautiful and clean
Service was amazing, free bike rental and they secured our bags until rooms were ready and after we checked out so we can venture around town
Tons of local food in the area

Our stay was wonderful, the room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided many options and food was very good. The staff were very kind, helpful and considerate. Once we figured the bus schedule, we were very comfortable about the trip to the city. There are some excellent places to eat very close to the hotel. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Truly a top hotel for the courtesy of the staff and the comfort of the rooms. A short distance from the center also provides a free bike service for customers. The facility is clean and well maintained, it can also accommodate your pets. You will hardly find better in Bologna. Highly recommended!

The location is near maggiore Hospital, and around 49 minutes walking from city center. There, you can also reach by bus-line 13. Tickets you can find at the reception.

From hotel to the airport you have 2 good options: a taxi or the bus 944 which stops at Maggiore Hospital. Marconi express train leads you to Bologna centrale- one way ticket 9.20 euro.

The bus is 4 euro.

The taxi from hotel to airport was 15 euro.

The staff at the reception is extremely helpful and kind, they provide you maps, informations that you need.

If you did not book with breakfast, you can buy at the hotel. Very good breakfast- I do recommend. The bar is open 24 hours. The hotel has a little patio where you can stay to drink a coffee or smoke. Also bikes rentals available, Wi-fi, parking spot and also charging station for electric cars.

The rooms are not big but enough. The bed is very comfortable. All toiletries provided. Also free minibar: water and peanuts and cookies.

Once again the big plus of the hotel is the amazing staff.

We booked the hotel because it is close to the airport and advertises airport transfers. There are no transfers but reception will arrange for a taxi.

It's quite fine for a 3* hotel. The first room we got was quite noisy because of the ambulances arriving to the nearby hospital but then the receptionist gave us another room which was quiet. So it's 5 star for the service. The rest is rather one star less.
