Osteria Il Gallo Giallo

Wonderful service and food at this small Osteria in the heart of Chianti. Amazing pastas...modern yet with the classic heart of Tuscany. We also had the pork which was beyond good. I dare say the best pork I've ever had. Wonderful people and wonderful place to dine.

This place is absolutely amazing! Nestled in the hills of Tuscany, you couldn’t ask for a better meal! Not only was every dish served absolutely beautiful, they tasted even better! The staff was so friendly and you can tell they take pride in their service. Even the menus were beautifully designed and the wine list had explanations of the regions. Next time we are in the Chianti region we will definitely be returning.

A group of us stopped for dinner and so were able to taste many of the dishes. There was not a bad one in the bunch.

While on first glance they look a bit small, the dishes are very filling and tasty.

Wine list is ample and features many local products at very reasonable prices.

Late arrival with 3 kids a few days back and the staff made us feel welcome and at ease with only smiles!
And we enjoyed one of our best meals of our Italian holidays with perfect chicken and beef main courses, perfectly paired with by-the-glass wines :)

The restaurant offers typical Tuscan dishes. Everything we’ve ordered was fresh and delicious. Homemade cantucci (literally just made the same day) with vino santo were the best we’ve ever had. Nice and cozy interiors. Good value for money, we’d definitely go there again.

This place is just perfect. The food is incredible, the house wine delicious and the deserts are very, very tasty. Be sure to make a reservation otherwise you will probably be disappointed as it is always fully booked.

Found this little gem on a short drive from our stay. Service, ambiance and food were great.

Very lovely restaurant with great staff! And the wine card is exquisite! Not only because of the great selection of wines, but also because of the great historical stories you can find in there. Definitely go if you get the chance :)

If you wanna spend a nice dinner with some good wine and some good meat then this is your place!

Warning! Hardly any vegitarian options so I would strongly advise checking with the restaurant first if you dont eat meat or fish!

The fussili funghi was outstanding!! Probably the best usage of Truffles in pasta that I’ve seen in a while! It was a nice cream like sauce with funghi and a hint of truffle with some
Pork. If you do want to taste a different but amazing tasting truffle pasta this Is what I’d recommend!

You can let your eyes be larger than your mouth is cause even if you do starter first second and sweets : the food is not heavy on the stomach. You can't go wrong here with your choices cause it's all very good.

Great food, good staff, decent portions, and a nice quaint atmosphere! I highly recommend GG for a more local feel for dinner, and the prices are very reasonable (especially if you're staying in one of the many agriturismo places nearby with very overpriced menus). GPS helps a lot to find this spot, a must-have at night when it's basically a hidden driveway with no markings - be careful on the driveway and go slowly!

Good food and really nice people! We had very good pasta, plates are made up and looking good, cosy terrace and prices are not that high. Another plus: a big private parking place.

Me and my wife stayed in the area for a week. Once we found this place we came here every evening. The food is amazing, wine list is extensive and the prices reasonable. I would recommend anyone try this restaurant out.

Came back here for the second time just recently and my expectations were met and more. Extraordinary food and wine, superb location.. a perfect combo. Consigliato!

On a cold windy Tuscan night had a wonderful homemade white onion soup with cheese and toasted bread followed by the best cooked T-bone steak, roasted potatoes and washed down with locally grown chianti.

One of my favorite resturants in the world. ambiente quality price and service is outstanding. I ate my best Bistecca Fiorentina here.

Absolutely perfect, relax, chill and think of a perfect Tuscan evening and this is it!!
