We ordered pork chop which was very big, enough for 2 people. Also ordered mushroom pasta. Generous food portions. We enjoyed sitting outside right by the lake, amazing unobstructed view of the lake.

Me and my wife both really enjoyed our dinner here and definately was a highlight of our Italian trip. Hands down the best tasting restaurant we ate at during our two weeks here. Family owned, home made pasta, and fresh fish definately exceeded our expectations. The view was outstanding as well. Can't wait to come back.

I can warmly recommend this cosy restaurant at the pebled beach of Garda Lake. It has great views - on one side on the small harbor, on the other on the open lake (as it is very popular - reservation is a must, unless you don't mind sitting inside). The food is simple and delitious - kids had pasta, and my husband and I took the fish degustation menu - great variety of fishes and fruiti di mare. The desserts were delicious too - you just have to try their pana cota!

If you like to eat fish, you won’t find a better place to eat it.
Grilled over coals and served on a silver platter, dressed with olive oil and parsley with chunks of lemon, the grigliata mista di pesce is as simple a dish as you can get, but it looks very impressive when it is served. Accompany it with an insalata mista and a chilled bottle of Lugana and you are in fish lover’s paradise.

If you’re not a fish lover, there are also grilled meats and pasta ‘fatta in casa’, (homemade pasta).

The setting is equally impressive, especially if you book early and request a table in giardino, which is adjacent to the beach in Portese. The waves lapping on the pebbles and the effects of the fading light on the mountains across the lake as dusk falls, creates a romantic atmosphere that you will want to experience again and again.

If you're wondering what to eat when you come here and visit Lake Garda, Da Osvaldo calls for you.
We are locals, meaning we grew up in the surroundings and so know the lake a lot, but this restaurant was a pleasant surprise: we had dinner there a couple weeks ago and never found another place that feels both like home and like holiday at the same time.

The location is incredible: if the weather allows it, you get to eat right on the shore of Portese, under some very tall trees keeping you nice and chill.

And the menu is absolutely wonderful: you get to choose among typical dishes made with lake fish, always 100% fresh, as the pasta, that is made from scratch every morning (if you happen to stroll by the restaurant around 10 am, you'll see the staff already twisting the taglierini that you'll eat at dinner).

All the staff was incredibly nice, well prepared and ready to provide nice suggestions for our dinner, such as the best local wines to pair our food with.

Will come back for sure, to taste the rest of the menu.

Had the seafood pasta, which possibly had more seafood than pasta! Shrimps, octopus, muscles etc

Very good restaurant with a nice view over Lake Garda and an outdoor garden. I can recommend the fresh grilled fishes or sea food. Nearby is the harbor where you can rent boats.

Restaurant almost at the beach. Beautiful view, car park just a few meters from the restaurant and really great food. If you ask waitress then you are able to get local wine as well.

Such a fantastic place!!! Location is spectacular, food is amazing and portions are sizeable .... very sizeable! Service is also awesome. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place for family or just to have a nice dinner with your friends!
