We stayed here for four nights in August and absolutely loved our stay. As per the website and online, this is a three start boutique style "hotel" so expectations should be set accordingly. Nevertheless, the settings were BEAUTIFUL, the pool was so amazing, the service was top notch, and the rooms were perfectly comfortable and spacious for our needs. We spent our first two nights in a lower category room which was on the ground floor. For the second two nights, we went one category up and moved to a second floor room with an unobstructed view of Tuscany and woke up one more to hot air balloons. The beds were on the harder side, but that wouldn't stop me from staying here again. The breakfast was phenomenal and set us up perfectly for a day at the vineyards and nearby towns before coming back to relax by the quiet pool. Proximity to the nearby town was perfect as we got to explore a couple of restaurants that we dined at twice each! Highly recommend and can't wait for when I can go back.

10/10 experience at this very charming hotel. Comfortable, pretty and clean rooms. Beautiful views in all the outdoor spaces. The restaurant is also impeccable, we had a lovely dinner thanks to the delicious Tuscan dishes and the outstanding service. The breakfast was also perfect, plenty of choice and served on the veranda so we could enjoy the views. We wish we could have stayed here longer !!

Such a wonderful experience having dinner at Osteria Il Poggio. The ravioli with Pappa al pomodoro was so delicious and the pork shank so tender.
The vine produced by them is divine and the yogurt semifreddo was a perfect way to end the meal.
Nice and smiley service a place to go back.

Deciding to stay in this area is hard so I'll be as in depth as i can to help you make your choice.

Notes about location:
- in my mind everywhere in this area is good. In regards to this place there is a beautiful view over the valley and it is on the high side of the hill with an olive grove that you can explore....I didn't explore but I assume that you'll only see olive trees. Its a nice quiet rural location and although there is a road going right past you we didn't notice the cars much if at all. Up the hill a bit further is a really nice looking town and a nice place to spend a little time. Its not really a place to stay all day for days at a time but its a good place to stay and then travel around. That said, our main focus was Florence (Firenze) on this trip and we should have stayed closer to town than this. Next time we want to explore the region and not go to Firenze at all.

I will rate as many aspects as I can out of 5 to help set your expectations;
Bed - 3.5/5. Slightly firmer than a Hilton hotel bed but more give in it than a holiday Inn bed. Very supportive. We added a doona under the sheets and it was like a 4.5 bed after that. Pillows were excellent
Bathroom - 4.5/5. Toilet and shower was downstairs. No bath and shower recess wasn't massive but adequate. Good water flow
Bathroom amenities - 5/5. Not the same as a 5 star hotel but you have everything you need
Cleanliness - 5/5
Size of room - 5/5. There is a downstairs loungeroom and an upstairs bedroom - between the two spaces there was plenty of space to put everything
Luggage space - 5/5
Comfort and amenities - 5/5, lounge, air con etc. It seems to me that when you use the air con that the radiator heaters turn off (assuming the aircon gets the room above a certain temp). So on the first night we got a little cold until the radiator heaters kicked back in but on the 2nd night we were very cosy. The bedding used blankets rather than a doona and there's an extra blanket in the cupboard which we needed for the first night.
Peace and quiet - 5/5 Didn't hear a peep from anyone
Food - 5/5. For breakfast I think you can ask for eggs cooked your way - but this wasn't explained to us so we just had boiled eggs. Breakfast isn't like a hotel but there are good selections of a range of options enough to make breakfast very satisfying. Gluten free options were given to my wife. on the 2nd morning we left very early so on the previous night they gave us some yoghurts to out in our fridge over night.
We had dinner there which was excellent. Good locally sourced food cooked well.
Location - see comments above....you make up your own mind.
Wifi - 4/5.
Service - 5/5. From reception to restaurant the service was kind and friendly.

Overall the room and accommodation generally was very nice and if this location suits you then I highly recommend staying here. yes it looks a little older but that's the charm of it. Our room was on two levels so if you get this room then don't wear socks on the terracotta tiled stairs as it can be a little slippery - or ask for a room without stairs.

I loved my experience here, the staff, restaurant, the views, the way it made me feel, soft breezes and wine by the pool, hot air balloons going past in the morning, new friends, I have no words, I miss it and wish to be back there soon as possible xxx thank you

It was a little sanctuary. We got the biggest room they had - a duplex. The bed was comfortable and the furniture was rustic. The view this place provided was amazing - it was so relaxing to sit outside and watch the sun set over the rolling hills. The food in the restaurant was good even if the menu was limited. They had good vegetarian options as well. I’m sure the tap water is drinkable but filtered sparking water was available upon request. My partner left his watch and one of the kind staff met up with us in Florence to return it. Absolutely going above and beyond. I highly recommend this Tuscan rustic treasure.

The views from this place are absolutely gorgeous. The level of hospitality and service are unmatched. The entire team made us feel so special and well taken care of even before we arrived and during the entirety of our visit.

We had read about everyone’s experiences online before booking, but just have to reiterate that the reviews for the restaurant onsite are 100% accurate. We spent 12 nights in Italy during our visit and ate at the restaurant twice. Those two dinners were the best of our entire visit, and in our top 5 meals of all time in our lives. Even if you don’t stay here you absolutely must make a reservation for the restaurant!!!!

A cosy, rustic and perfect little hotel and restaurant around the corner from Antinori (5 min drive). The food was absolutely delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful - driving and picking us up from a boozy lunch, organising last minute massages, and just being incredibly helpful. The rooms are rustic and traditional but perfectly comfortable and charming and the position and the landscape is gorgeous - there is a very large pool although it wasn’t the season to get in it! The chianti and olive oil they produce are also delicious.

The location is in the middle of nowhere but the drive was very much worth it. Best ristorante out of all meals we had in Tuscany. Warm service. The bread was incredible, freshly baked! The pastas were out of this world good - you could really see the quality of the ingredients and cooking technique. The steak and the wine was amazing as well. Will definitely come back !

This is really perfect hotel. The hotel is situated in the very green territory but near the autobahn. The rooms are very beautiful, good beds, quite good bathroom. Also there are sleepers and 2 extra pillows. Also there is a large swimming pool on the open air, it’s really great, it looks like new. There os a really great restaurant in the hotel. I liked this hotel very much. Not expensive like in Florence with great nature and view)

My wife and I had a wonderful stay, the room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was fantastic :)
The views are nothing less than Tuscany at its best from it peaceful location overlooking the valley.
Very quiet yet just a few minutes from the main highway into the suburbs of Firenze (score free parking near the Coop in Scandicci and ride the tram right into the heart of the city) or make this your base of operations for day trips all over Tuscany.
The dining was divine, intimate and cozy...wonderful wines and delicious local products - bring an appetite though, the servings are generous!
Cannot say enough about the staff - we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived.
Cannot wait to return for another visit :)

Unbelievable. Great experience. Nice atmosphere, friendly waitress, and fabulous cook (seriously).
I have never had a burger as great as this one and the lamb is a whole 5 levels above the ones we've had before.
I'm pretty sure I'll dream of this burger.

Wow! Can’t fault this place - amazing stay booked via Airbnb - fantastic pool, location, and amazing hospitality from all the team.

The restaurant was also fantastic - we ate there for dinner and enjoyed incredible home style pasta for very affordable price given the setting.

Amazed by the scenery with a view on the Tuscan hills and the amazing diners. Not too cheap, but also not too expensive, similar to the price paid for Frenkie de Jong by Barcelona. Quality guaranteed!
