La Fonte del Machiavelli

We had a wonderful stay at Simone’s bed and breakfast. The rooms had everything we needed and were cleaned each morning, the breakfast service was great, the view from the terrace is unmatched. The pool is ideal for either lounging or a dip after a long day touring the City. The location is a bit remote (25 min drive to Florence) but is stunning nonetheless. There are also very nice restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Overall, it was a great experience.

What a wonderful place to stop. Clean comfortable room, hot showers, super comfy bed, use of a swimming pool and a plentiful breakfast and good coffee!
Wish I had been able to stay longer as this is the perfect spot to explore wine country!

Wonderful hotel in the quiet and restful Tuscan countryside. The owner, Simone, was very gracious and helpful. Rooms were on the small side but adequate and clean. Breakfast was good. Good coffee, tasty ham and sausages, croissants, nice cup of coffee. The place is great for family and for groups of friends who want to enjoy rural Tuscany. There is also a superb restaurant, the Saracen, about 500 meters from the hotel. Great bistecca and pasta!

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience staying at Fonte del Machiavelli. We stayed for 3 nights for a wedding taking place at Villa Mangiacane. We travel often and Simone was the most gracious host we have ever had. You can tell he prides himself in giving excellent service to his guests.
We arrived in the evening and Simone met us at the driveway and checked us in and walked us to our accommodations. We mentioned we were hungry and he personally drove us to a local spot for food and then came back to pick us up.
Additionally, I needed a round trip cab early the next morning to the Firenze Airport (to retrieve my lost luggage) and Simone arranged everything.
Breakfast on the terrace (also served by Simone) was always great and we really enjoyed lounging by the pool during the day.
**Be mindful, the B&B is off the beaten path and without a car or transport you will have a difficult time getting around.**
Ultimately, I can only say wonderful things about this B&B. If you want to experience real Tuscany, stay here. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Piękny widok z okna na góry, winnice i winorośla, cisza, spokój i klimat Toskanii :) Bardzo dobre miejsce wypadowe do Florencji, Bolonii, San Marino czy Pizy :) z czystego serca polecam. Lokalna restauracja przy drodze serwuje pyszne wino, pyszną pizzę i dobre przekąski w dobrej cenie. Jeszcze z żoną tam wrócimy :)

Struttura immersa nel verde, per arrivare è necessario sapere che c’è da fare una strada bianca e sconnessa all’andata bella in discesa e ovviamente al ritorno in salita, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena! Camere pulite, cuscino e materasso comodissimi, ho adorato la loro crema corpo. Per chiudere una colazione abbondante deliziosa. Consigliatissimo.

Wandern in der Toskana ist weniger schön, da zu viele Asphaltstraßen, aber diese Unterkunft war eine Belohnung am Abend.Der Pool ein Gedicht! Sehr schöne Zimmer,netter Hausbesitzer, hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet mit frischem Obst u Joghurt, Ei u Schinken. Da konnte man gut gestärkt den Tag beginnen.

Struttura in ottima posizione, poco distante dalla strada principale per potere visitare il Chianti e la Val d'Elsa. Accoglienza e ospitalità di qualità, colazione meravigliosa e una bella piscina da cui vedere qualche capriolo nei meravigliosi dintorni in cui la struttura è immersa. Camera spaziosa con tutto il necessario. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.

Come sempre, i B&B immersi nel verde delle colline toscane, sono indimenticabili. Casolare del 1300 restaurato al meglio per offrire tutti i servizi, piscina compresa. Colazione ottima e abbondante. Un consiglio a chi raggiunge la struttura in moto: fate attenzione agli ultimi 150 metri non asfaltati.

Traumhaft schönes, kleines sehr gepflegtes Hotel mitten in den Weinbergen. Sehr freundlich, sauber mit gutem Frühstück. Alles im alten Stil restauriert. Ein Jahr später noch schöner. Der Service ist wahrlich sehr gut. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles im traditionelle Stil. Wunderschöner Pool und gepflegter Garten. Sensationelle Aussicht auf das Val di Pesa.

Sì trova in una posizione favolosa emerso nelle splendide colline della Toscana nella Val di Pesa . Simone e la sua moglie sono stati gentilissimi, le camere hanno un "Charme "particolare,la colazione è abbondante e molto buono.La zona è tranquillissima e ottimo per fare delle passeggiate con i cani.Complinenti!

Ho passato uno splendido week-end, in relax, nella campagna Fiorentina. Una bellissima casa tenuta bene, accessoriata di ogni confort da Simone. Un proprietario gentilissimo è sempre disponibile. Consiglio!!

Per chi ama la pace e la bellezza delle colline toscane in un edificio splendidamente restaurato: il luogo ameno dove Machiavelli si ritirava a leggere poesie d'amore.Apri la finestra...ed ê un mare di onde verdi!.Ospitalitā cortese e discreta.

Ontzettend leuke en gezellige B&B met een prachtig uitzicht vanaf het terras. De eigenaren zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam. Ontbijt is goed en de kamers zijn voorzien van airco. Bedden liggen ook goed.
