Pizzeria La Carbonaia

Lovely pizza from a real Italian pizza oven. Wonderfull fresh gnocchi, homemade desserts and good wine. And all quite cheap. Fantastic!!!!!!

Amazing pizzas, great portions and excellent service. The antipasto was a huge portion, more than enough for three people. The dessert was very good but not the best part of the meal.

It is easy to just walk past Pizzeria La Carbonaia . The entrance is a small doorway into a modern, not too large restaurant. We were welcomed by a friendly service. We were served various dishes, ranging from risotto, pasta dishes to, of course, freshly baked pizza. All served swiftly (within 10-15 minutes). Each dish was really fresh and delicious. We returned a few times, every single time we enjoyed delicious food. Even on a Sunday we arrived unexpectedly, the restaurant was fully booked, yet the manager put in the effort for us to still enjoy a meal. Talking about hospitality! We also enjoyed the fact that the locals were sitting there, or picking up their takeaway. All in all we really recommend going to Pizzeria La Carbonaia for your dinner. Whenever you are near San Casciano in Val di Pesa, go there and it will be worth your while.

For the price, this place is incredible. Was so nice to say goodbye to tourist prices and feel, and find an authentic and truly local restaurant. The restaurant was basically fully booked, but the waiter rearranged a bunch of tables and fit us in. Service was friendly, quick and very cheap in comparison to what we have experienced on our travels. Packed with locals eating in and getting takeaway. The house red wine was delicious, pastas amazing and the wood fired pizza was incredible. The crust retained a softness and a crunch whilst being so light, I had never experienced a crust like it. Will be going back before we leave (will book a table this time).

Had takeaway pizza from here. They were excellent and we are going back for more. They have some interesting toppings such as parmigiana or cheese and red onion. They have a proper wood fired pizza oven and the service was very quick.

Best pizza! My husband and I ordered pizza to go from this restaurant our 1st night in town. We came back and ate inside our last night in town so that I could have this pizza again. I almost ordered something else but glad I didn't (although I'm sure it would have been great also. My husband's food was.)

A lot of local people went to there. The pizza was great. Service was also super friendly. High recommendation.

Siamo capitati per caso ed è stata una splendida sorpresa. Dopo un misto crostini buonissimo, mio marito ha mangiato la pizza ed io un risotto al Chianti meraviglioso. E per finire un tiramisù al vino santo da leccarsi i baffi. Il conto onestissimo. Consigliato davvero
