Hotel Roy

We stayed 7 nights at Hotel Roy (end of July) and absolutely enjoyed it. Within its price range, the quality and service is unprecedented. The hotel is very quiet, the rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff is very friendly and the food is delicious.
We especially enjoyed the personal hiking tips from our host Alessandro. The area offers plenty of hiking options within 10-30 minute drive range.

Briefly, as Alta Via 2 walkers, this was the best hotel along the route. The rooms were nice enough for the price, the half board meals were very good, close to exceptional, and the spa eased or aches, and was the best along the trail too. The owner obviously puts real care into the operation.

The rooms were spacious and sparkling clean. The spa and wellness centre was very well furnished with relaxing spa pools and sauna.

Spent 1 week for skiing here, I start by saying the position is optimal (basically ski-in /ski-out). The wellness center was small but cozy, with an 80 degree Finnish sauna, a turkish bath and a jacuzzi, and the cold and tropical showers, everything perfectly cleaned and well maintained.
The owner was very kind to even take us to Caprile on the last day, since the skibus was no longer operating. Since the location is literally on the ski piste, the bus stops in front of the hotel (when operating) and the cable car to Marmolada Glacier is 1-minute away skiing, this makes Hotel Roy a great location for a ski holiday - actually you can be the first to ski from 3265m each day !
