Punta Bianca Beach (Monte Grande)

Beautiful beach, a little off-road and walking needed to reach it. But quiet beach and amazingly clear water with nice vieww!

Potentially one of the wildest and undervalues spots in Sicilian South Coast. Sunset during the winter are even better than during the summer because the sky may get foggy due to the high pressure coming from the desert. The road to reach the place is still not ideal for cars that are not 4X4 or at least crossovers. Going there after rainy days is basically impossible unless you have a proper car that can move with agility in the mud. I would say that it is not the best place if you want to swim because of the heavy currents characterizing that area, several rocks which prevent an easy entrance to the sea, and a lack of basic public services (there was a nice open air bar namely “paradiso punta bianca”during summer 2021 but I do not if it is going to be open again). For these reasons, I wouldn’t not recommend the place if you have very young children.

Beautiful peble and rock beach with a stunning calcar formation! Quiet on a Sunday off season (end of April) wich was great. Beautiful sunset!

Beautiful place. But dont’t go with your car, the way is terrible. Take a mountain bike or go for a walk.

Worth the funky road, it’s a bit tricky road to get to Punta Bianca, but you get a great pay off.

Very nice spot, quite windy but from the right perspectives, it becomes an absolutely stunning photo spot.

Better than Scala dei Turchi in my opinion. The road is just a gravel path with some stones, but we made it with a rental car from the SP71 road to the Riserva Naturale di Punta Bianca.

Beautiful. A must see place! The road leading there is a bit rocky, make sure you have the right car for the job.

Amazing place. It’s not easy to reach it because of the bad rocky road but it’s worth to take a risk and try to get there!

Incredible beach. Has to be seen to be believed. Crystal clear water. White cliffs. Rocks pools. Hardly any people. Road not for the feint hearted however 🤣
