A magical place with breathtaking view
August 2023
We stayed 6 nights at this well-hidden magical place at the end of August.
It is almost unthinkable how sophisticated and carefully but still effortlessly designed this Castellino is.
The rooms are all unique, large and featured with all amenities (kitchen included) which makes your stay comfortable.
The pool - with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic and the medieval Castello Gradara - is the center of Life here - and deservedly so: you start your day with a pool-side breakfast, continue with nicely prepared cocktails consumed on the sunbeds and of course indulging in the sun-heated pool itself.
After having a short break in your nicely cooled room and dressed up smart-casual you can enjoy a delicious dinner cooked by Chef Andrea at one of the pool-side tables following the setting sun above the Sea.
If you are curious enough, you can discover the secrets of the magical garden with its many hidden places.
If you are lucky and spend a Thursday here you can attend the weekly Sundown party at the fabulous terraced garden just below the pool - the setting is something you can not imagine until you see it for yourself.
You`ll not be bored even if the weather does not favour sunbathing - you can discover the beauties and historical places (like Urbino, Gradara )of both the Marche and Emilia-Romagna - or even San Marino - all in 40 kms distance)
If you long to dive into the Sea there are many beaches nearby (eg Gabbice Mare), althoug those can be crowded during Summer peak.
For shopping the best place is Pesaro (centro historico - only 15 min drive from the Castellino) with it`s many local designer shops and high fashion brand stores.
For beach bags and accessories do not miss the Brandina brand store right in Piazzale Poppolo.
Nothing is easier than dining out in one fo the many very good and very affordable restaurants - all within 5 min drive. The nearest one (Il Melograno with its heavenly home-made pastas) is literally at your doorstep.

Finally I can`t miss out to mention the super-friendly and ever helpful hotel staff to whom we owe a big Thanks for not only making our stay wonderfully easy-going but making us always smiling.

We just can not wait to return next Summer:)

Just an awesome concept! The hotel grounds are like one big performance art piece. And this amazing design is very harmonious, although rather unusual. Here you can sunbathe and swim in the pool with a remote view of the sea. There is a sauna and a Scandinavian natural fire spa. The fire pit and outdoor bar area is reminiscent of a large sunset party.
Our only regret is that it was out of season and the weather was bad, so we didn't get to enjoy some of the perks. but that's an excuse to come back here again.
It's a great place! Thanks to the people who restore places like this and turn them into first class concepts like this! Good luck to you and all the best ;)

This review is long overdue as I stayed in 2017, but I still think about this place often for the magical experience I had.
Set in a historic castle grounds, you feel like you’re in your own oasis with no staff ever around (unless you need them and they appear!) so it can truly be a home away from home.
The grounds are lovely to walk and explore, the view of the valley from the pool is breathtaking, and the rooms themselves are so unique.

We stayed in ‘fox den’ which I believe was originally a wine cellar, and is a gorgeous cavern like room of brick, with lanterns and a sunken bed. Down the hall are bath/shower alcoves tucked into existing inlets in the cellar, ending in the most quaint and lovely kitchenette and private back garden.

There is not a restaurant onsite aside from breakfast at your room, in our case in our back garden, but I believe you can also coordinate dinners with the staff. There is also a restaurant about 20 paces outside the grounds that was simple and lovely.

This is truly my favorite place I’ve ever stayed in any country or on any trip. I have recommended to so many people, although I secretly hope Le Marche and this hotel remain as magically untouched as when I discovered it.

Hi from NYC and I hope to visit again.

On the top of a small hill in front of the coast this excellent hotel is located. After a warm welcome you will be introduced into the location and your room.
The interior is individual and unique. It has the flair of the local Ialian design. From the terrace you have a breath taking view and you can enjoy your sun downer!
Over all- one of the best hotel I've ever been!
Thank you

We was here on Summer, took room in nature for 220€/per night. It is little bit to expencive put it was amazing experience sleeping in nature, drinking caffe with amazing view, staff was really nice and welcoming, they made us also feel comfy.
Water in pool was little bit to cold, breakfast was amazing, cocktails too!!
Only thing was that bad sheets was stinky and teppich also probably of long staying on wet ground without enough Sun to dry in down.. hopefully they will change something about that and make better protection from insects during night because we went from there totally bitten on whole body.. but everything together.. amazing experience!!
