What a lovely place. Fast and attentive service. You may feel a bit overwhelmed in the beginning by the authenticity of the place but as dishes start coming by you sort of blend in with the atmosphere. We tried truffle pasta and potato filled ravioli with ragout both very successful. Local coccoli which is basically fried dough, beans and trippa are ridiculously impressive. also nice meat.

Only good words for this place! The food, service, ambiance and hospitality were great! A lot local guests but also English speaking guests were feeling more than welcome! Listen to the staff for good food advice😋

Delicious food and great service. Very local experience, both lunch and dinner. Pasta specials great, squash blossoms amazing. Wine very reasonable price. Two times so far, more as soon as I can get a reservation.

Walking in here for lunch, I couldn't hear any English/American voices, only Italian. This is a rare feature for a restaurant in Florence in July. The staff were so friendly - put up with my terrible Italian but also had fantastic English.

The interior is simple, comfortable, homey. It's kept nice and cool in the summer heat with fans and air con.

We came wanting steak, to try Fiorentine steak, and we achieved this with aplomb (the photo really doesn't do it justice). It's relatively cheap here, and what I really appreciate is the transparency around price - they brought the steak out to show us before hand and told us the weight, meaning we knew how much we were going to pay.

The steak was massive - we split between 3 and it was plenty - and very tasty. Good char, well seasoned (simply with salt and pepper, nothing else needed), very tender, and wonderfully beefy. Highly recommend.

We had 2 sides, the seasonal veg of fried potatoes, and some white beans. These were much less impressive - €4 for a very small portion of some (admittedly very nice) chips is a bit steep. The beans were a little tasteless and watery - maybe try the tomatoey beans instead which looked great.

Our veggie member of the party had the pasta pomodoro - she absolutely loved it, said it's one of the best bites of food she's had in Italy. Highly recommend the pasta.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for authentic, well priced, delicious food with really good service. Thank you!

Amazing Bistecca FL! Very friendly and fast service - really enjoyed our dinner and now regret that we didn’t finish the stake as it was massive ) will definitely be back and recommend this lovely place to all! Make sure you book in advance as it is always full house

Absolutely amazing. Authentic Tuscan cousine with delicious food and affordable prices. I have never eaten better pasta with truffles. Must-have on Florence map.

Literally the best steak I have ever had in my 26 years on this earth - STUNNING! Excellent service, our waiter was so friendly and made us feel right at home ☺ we will 10000% be back next time we are in Florence!

Fantastic trattoria in Oltrarno. Lively atmosphere, excellent grilled meat secondi, delicious pasta, great value chianti. Just lovely and fun.

My partner and I went to this place and we didn't really know what to expect.
It seemed like we were lucky to get a table because the place was full and there were heaps of locals dining there.

The service was great and the food was some of the best we've had in Italy so far. We had steak alla Fiorentina, beans in tomato sauce, and their house wine and they were a 10 out of 10!

We were also surprised by how reasonably priced it was.

If you want to experience a trattoria that's not full of turist, this is your place. Super authentic and delicious food. 💫

Incredible steaks in a rustic Florentine restaurant. Come hungry and you will be satisfied. Reservations strongly recommended, but you might get in if you're lined up when they open. We ordered a 1.5 kg rib steak for two, a bottle of house wine and the Tuscan style Cannellini Beans, all for €78. It was a lot of food but totally doable if you are feeling a big steak. There are minimum orders on the big steaks (they are plated to be shared) so if you can't eat a lot I recommend bringing a couple friends.

Excellent food, excellent service, authentic Florentine atmosphere. I recommend the truffle pasta, the Florentine steak, and the fried zucchini flowers. Good portion for two hungry people.
I also recommend booking in advance (we came for dinner). If you cannot get through by phone then drop by during the lunch service to reserve a table.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was a great experience into Florentine cuisine. Grazie!

Super friendly service, we booked and we're glad we did as it filled up immediately on opening. The pasta dishes were great, as are the dough balls - the sirloin steak was cooked perfectly and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards. Great wine by the litre too.

Amazing place! It was on the list that our hotel recommended. The first one turned us away for lack of reservations. This second one was also full but found a lovely large corner table for us. The ambiance was very authentic. The waiter very easy on the eyes and the food the best I've had in over a week in Italy.

Simple, delicious, neighborhood friendly restaurant that makes you feel at home. A lot of locals during lunch time, which tells you how good the food is. Florentine people know where to eat!

Superb restaurant: great food, authentic atmosphere and very friendly service. The steak was on point and the veal t-bone steak very tender. We had beans as a side which were surprisingly tasty. Also try the pasta! We will definitely come back :)

If you are in Firenze, you should consider the trip to the delicious neighbourhood restaurant. Excellent service offered in a traditional small Tuscan restaurant. True Tuscan meal. I will always remember the beans and sausage-- definitely one onE my favourite plates in Italy.

Our favorite place! The atmosphere, the people and oh yeah: the Food!! It is like dining at home, with other people at the same table, which you can share the experience with. We had an amazing time and will surely come back here. Grazie mille !

It was a perfect experience. Food was amazing, all local dishes. Florence steak was melting in mouth, so juicy and delicious. You would eat Pasta with truffle everyday. Service was great and they were very kind, offered complimentary side dish. Ans yes, pepposo, you must try here.
