Grand Hotel Excelsior, Reggio Calabria

Very nice staff. Everyone that worked in the hotel was very friendly. Probably best location in Reggio. About 15 minute walk to port, about 5 minute walk to beach, and less than 5 minute walk to shopping and restaurants

Good old 4 stars country side hotel.
Stayed one night as business trip.
Old but good interior and well maintenanced facility.
Good service by friendly staffs.
I will stay this hotel next opportunity.

On water front, so is close to much to do. In fact the museum is right across the street with two very cool bronze statues. Food is served on 5th floor and there is a great view. Had breakfast there and it was very good ;plenty to eat and good quality. Would go back.

The service and the staff was great! the breakfast is above italian standards, as we could have not only sweet pastary but Continental breakfast as well. the room was tipicial Italian style elegant. nice clean and well furnished. huge double bed plus a children bed were in it. If we come back to Reggio we will stay here for sure. The view to the see from the frkm the 3rd floor or from the 5th where are the restaurant is pricless. Restaurant served good dinner and good vines on a 4+ star level price ;)

Wonderful place. Mount Etna can be seen from the fourth floor balcony. The decor is somehow both modern and warm.

I found the reception staff being a bit patronizing. Also, finding this hotel while you are driving is an ordeal. They should improve signage for those who arrive by car.

Great hotel and excellent restaurant. Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are very good and have baths. Located next to the shore and by the mile walk. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place with very good breakfast (their croissant is amazing); the owners are very nice and helped me with everything (the woman speaks English).

Don’t miss the view from the rooftop restaurant with local specialties - get the carbonara with swordfish.

La possizione era a cinque stelle. Hotel ofriva un ristorante gourme una cucina fantastica. Lo staff era gentilissimo e disponibile specialmente Daniela della reception. Il treno, autobus erano meno di 200 m con la stazione Lido Calabria si potevano ragiungere Tropea, Scilla, Pizzo e Bagnara e Giioia Tauro. La farmacia era meno di 200 m di distanza. Hotel si trova proprio in centro vicino a lungo mare e corso garibaldi. Highly recomended a tutti.

Sono stato a cena al ristorante quindi non posso valutare le camere.
Il ristorante è eccezionale! Un servizio pressoché impeccabile, il cibo di qualità e davvero raffinato. Ho mangiato bene e sono stato benissimo. Davvero complimenti.
La cena costa tra i 50 ed i 70 euro ma vale tutti i soldi che spendi!!

Un bellissimo ricordo, posizione perfetta e stupenda, personale tutto cordiale e professionale, molto comodo anche avere la macchina al sicuro nel comodo garage… valore aggiunto la cena al 5 piano in terrazza con la vista sulla Sicilia e bere degli ottimi vini consigliati dal personale, centralissimo e perfetto per la visita al museo dei bronzi di Riace e per rilassarsi poi con un bagno nel lungomare Falcomatà.

Hotel dotato di tutti i comfort,dalla posizione centrale in citta'e ai collegamenti dei vari siti di interesse,alla pulizia delle stanze e freschezza dei cibi.Cordiale e disponibile il personale della reception e gli addetti al parcheggio custodito.Indimenticabile il panorama dal terrazzo al quinto piano.Consiglio,top.Saluti da Napoli
